WOW MAN!! This stuff is the best. A long lost talent and art in these 2 women that can never be duplicated in today's crappy music. This was SOUL baby!
Thank you for the video.... great talent and a fox... she has so much soul... powerhouse of a voice... great band...very under rated at the time.. but never forgotten... one of the best bands i ever heard... back in the day... just loved them...peace and love... bless you for sharing...eus347
@jhpress Thanks for tipping that: All three lamb records were reissued at wounded bird records Besides cross between, wich is the second album, a sign of change ( the first album: if Cross Between got a stellar review, than this should get a supernova review ) and Bring out the sun: The third, from wich River boulevard, the last song on the video, comes. After 40 year time shifts music: Lamb is definitely put in the timeless masterpieces category
Barbara Mauritz of Lamb was a great singer and songwriter.. .they never caught on then, but now Stereophile Magazine gave Lamb's reissues (Cross Between) a great stellar review. . .Diane Sward Rapaport, Lamb's manager at Fillmore Management

2 fine bands from the Bay-area- I've seen Cold Blood every-time they came to souther CA. The band was "AMAZING" Very tight band with a "FANTASTIC" singer in Lydia Pense.
Powerful music & times ! Hope to visit San Fransisco late 2010 & would be jazzed to see where the Bill Graham Empires stood. (and where Clint Eastwood did his thing- and..and the disputed surf spot under your city's bridge where locals demand respect (fair enough !) for their knowledge & prowess of a dangerous yet rewarding wave. Will be me first time in America. Promise never to be an intruder unless one of yous blokes trusts me with yer wave ve- hickle !
I love her voice-throaty but singing the right way.knows how to control her voice and not push or oversing-too loud. I just saw this 3 wks ago on PBS/Chicago
This movie is a sweet and precious document, NETFLIX IT if you haven't seen it. Bill Graham is one of the world's true personalities and it's entertaining and impressive to watch him work. Lamb in particular, in the opening song of this clip (the opening sequence of the film) is SWEET AS HELL. A wonderful document. THANK YOU FOR POSTING!!!
First concert, 1969, Selland Arena. CCR with Cold Blood. CB blew them off the stage! I've been a CB & Lydia fan ever since. Dave Padron, Cutler/Orosi CA. played horns. Dec 18, 2009, Black Oak Casino... Cold Blood with Lydia Pense. I'll be in the front row!!!
Wasn't a sarcastic comment. I bought the 3 disc album (vinyl) & in the lift out posters was a photo of Bill Graham on the phone looking really worried supporting this caption. Always made me laugh in a "crikey- do you need this stress?" manner.
The building that was Fillmore West is today a Honda dealership, which kind of brings it full circle: before Fillmore West, before the Carousel Ballroom, I believe it was an Oldsmobile showroom. The original Fillmore Auditorium is still an operating venue, check out a show there if your in Frisco.
Took 40 years for most of us (outside of California at least) to finally see Lydia here- especially during that time, but well worth it!!

At the end of the Fillmore It's A Beautiful Day video, was the first time I've ever seen the grid box with all of the possible "next" selections.
Background: I detest (hate) computers.
Facebook can go Facebook itself.
"Social Media" is exactly the opposite of what it is supposed to be -
People with no desire for actual contact with other human beings pushing sterile buttons and reading gibberish.
Etc.
But that box grid option was fantastic. Intriguing. Thank you.
