@twopac4life I wish I could argue with you, but it's kinda heading that way. I don't believe the Expansions and new Clients are pulling in enough new Custom, and although it tempts some old Veterans back, it's my belief that many of them are not staying very long. So yeah, a lot of Shards are kinda Ghost Towny but Atlantic still goes quite strong, as I understand it.

UO basically died around 2001. It's just been a comatose vegetable on life support since then.

@StainedShuriken333 Each to their own, I think it's only been dead a few years. I'm thinking in terms of just population to make Europa a viable server with sufficient community - I guess you either have a higher bar set or are thinking in terms of the Expansions/Era's, or something else.

@RuroJiruries I'm referring to the golden days where the servers were filled to the brim with population and it was a booming game. It could have kept that same unique and booming feeling, but expansions and patches killed what really made the game what it was.

I played from '97 to '02 and in '01 was when all the bullshit started fuming out from patches and expansions. Sadly, I didn't feel the same game anymore, and the majority of the community would agree 100%, but it is a new game now.

@StainedShuriken333 Well, all I can say is, I only play when I record now. It's the only thing that gets me in game. Despite my entire YouTube channel is about me playing Ultima Online, I'll admit that.

It has changed and I'm definitely within that "100%"; I don't derive the same entertainment like I used to. It's "playable" though in it's latest form, granted for a different type of player.

Lastly, I only pay for my account otherwise to keep my highly sentimental 0's and 1's from being wiped.

@RuroJiruries Ya... well, it's nice to see what new UO is like, although old UO, like T2A, was the best hands-down.

How many gold does "The Slayer" give to you?

Roughly 1300-1400 Gold, UO Stratics offers specific Loot details and more on all Monsters as well :) In the Hunters Guide on the left panel, last I checked.
