why not get the rbx375 - its about the same cost and gives you an extra string if ya need it - and if you dont you dont have to use it.

i like 4 string basses.

i don't need 5th string right now.

But it means you can shift everything up 5 frets where the frets aren't so wide - its handy if you have trouble stretching in the first 3 frets.

Of course you have to relearn the parts as its on different positions - but if you are just starting out you are learning from scratch anyway.
