4.7: car dyno'd 295rw normally aspirated, so nearly 5 pounds is .3 bar. .3 x 295 + 295 is about 400rwhp, so right on target. 14.7PSI would yield about 550-600rwhp considering the kit/fuel was appropriate for such a pull.
Wow, that's amazing, is that an early 32ver? Those numbers are damn impressive even for the 32v let alone a 16v Euro! What kind of tune was it in the first place though? I know alot of people complain about how 928's are slow/sluggish but many if not most of them haven't had a proper intake refresh for a while. I bought an 87 S4 a few months ago.
Where did you get your from? Or did you make it yourself? I'd like to get something very similar, if not the same to what you have. I like whole set up you've got going on.
I don't know, there price isn't too bad, but if there is a better substitute to sts I'll be more than happy to switch to that, I haven't ordered the kit yet
@dom2471 check out my other videos: the one that starts with the front mounted intercooler & works back: great kit, fast spool, stealth, even on a lowered car (2+") it still has plenty of ground clearance. Is your's a 5-speed? Email me, I'll send you more pictures: Porschesolutions@gmail.com
@dom2471 Why STS? There are turbo kits specifically for the 928 which cannot be seen, stolen, & make incredible power. Also, a mid-mount turbo allows you to run a full muffler (or mufflers) and cats if you need to.
This is a very nice car. I have a 1979 928 non-turbo but I don't know if it runs or not. I got it in a trade for my '73 Benz (which did run). I went on the word of my friend that the car does run but haven't had the time, money, or key to find that out. It sits beside my '83 944 non-turbo which runs but needs many things
@dom2471 : Twins: 2x the cost w no real benefit. Go with a manufactured & tried kit (such as ours)> :) Might be cheaper, certainly be faster. What year, transmission?

86.5 car (5.0 32v US-spec engine). You'll have to run a LOT of boost to get to 400rw on an '81 car: probably 10-12lbs or so.

Hey did you do any engine mods to get to 407? And what year is that car? I'm ordering a single turbo from sts next week for my 81 928.

I have an 86 s4, I'm not what sure what transmission that is. How much do kits like the you have on usually cost?
dom2471 10 months ago
They all have Borg Warner Syncro-mesh 5speeds, or the Daimler-Benz 4-speed automatic. 5speed kits start at 5300, Auto's start at 5900.

Hey guys, I just got a 928 and I'm thinking of doing a rear mounted twin turbo, will that work well? Will there be turbo lug?

sounds good!

Funny thing is, it sounds like a Murcielago on-boost from inside the car, & sounds like a healthy 928 from outside the car: oh well.
