@lozzerman the only guitarists that behave that way and sadly account for a great percentage these days are those who are obsessed with technique instead of playing music.. the sort that think sweep picking or advanced tapping is somehow clevered to be able to do than play with emotion like here..the sort that when they plug into a clean amp with no distortion, effects or reverb sound like crap and run a mile because in the end they cannot play..very sad but true

However I do take issue with those guitar players that just seem to be motivated either by jealousy or some kind of twisted over competitiveness. It seems to be an affliction that only affects guitar players, you never see sax players, drummers or bassists slagging each other off.
