just tap on the address bar, then a keyboard pops up, where you just basically type like a normal keyboard, except it's vertical. I suppose if you wanted to type normal you could lay it down? :S

There's no loud speaker, if you look carefully there's a white cable coming out of the headphones socket.

hey does ur ipod touch have pretty bad reproduction on the blacks when the brightness is set brighter

Not the simmering or negative effect but the blacks look more like grey
