I was working with The Shazam a few years ago at a festival in NYC w/Little Steven when Nancy showed up! I got about 200' from her and a big ol' boy grabbed me and said that was close enough.

New bass player = solid, rickin' great harmonies - what more could you want. New guitarist plays a telecaster the way it should be played, and it sounds great. The only thing sucking energy from this band is narrow minded twerps who don't know who Luther Perkins is.

Also....Would love to see "Pot O' Gold","Radar Gun","Smokin' 100's Alone", "Brand New Year", "Young Lover's in Town", "Wave That Flag", "Welfare Music", So Many GREAT SONGS!....I always try to turn on others about this band. SOOOO UNDERATED!!! I think Brian is a terribly overlooked songwriter. Thanks for letting me put my two cents in!

I've seen the Bottle Rockets 4 times since the new Guitarist & Bass player have joined(John & Keith). While competent musicians, they are absolute energy suckers on stage, and suck the life out of this band and the audience. Brian better get them act like they give a shit, or this Band will decline more than it already has.

I have been a fan of the Bottle Rockets for about 12 years now. I recently got a new computer and wireless internet and have been hooked on Youtube. I have never seen them live (I live in rural northwest Iowa), but was happy to find some footage. I wish they had some stuff up here from the earlier days. I have to agree that the new guys seem pretty boring. I wonder if Brian is tough to deal with? It seems that he doesn't interact with them much.
