The reason it takes to long is because the Works is only a 20% HCl solution and it takes longer to eat through the aluminum's oxidizated coating. So you actually need more surface area on the foil to speed the reaction.

to little of stuff actually. thats why it took a while. we filled it half way to the top with works and half way to the top with tinfoil. it was huge + it took a few seconds not minutes to go BOOM

u don't need that much works or foil to make this work and the size of the bottle can actually be louder, been building thee since I was a kid. just enough foil balls to not see the bottem of the bottle and just enough works to make the foil balls float. Screw the cap on, shake it and give it 20-60 sec.

It works better if you have a ton of aluminum foil in the bottle and like a fourth of the bottle filled with works and then duck tape the bottle all around. The pressure in the bottle builds up but doesn't explode because of the duck tape, but when it does its the loudest thing ever.

Had to do something for the 4th of july for this year!! Why spend hundreds of dollars on m-80s and blowing your hand off or hurting oneself. 6 water bottles and some foil + the toilet bowl works, All for under $10 bucks. Makes a very good sound effect almost to that of a M-80. Atleast with the works bomb it gives you some time to set it and get away. I rather be safe. The fireworks for the public are total garbage!! No big boom!! I gotta have some big bangs and booms!! Well i solved that!!!
