Every body i would advise against using cornmeal!! i made some cornmeal moonshine one time and it came out nasty!!!! i would suggest getting a food processor and putting oatmeal in it. the food processor will cut it up small like cornmeal. but your final product will be much better tasting.

boiling at too high of a temp or you need to run some rye flour water mix thourgh your still. fill your still with 40% water 5% rye flour then distill. this should take out any imperfections in it.

when it was fermenting the "mash" must have gotten oxygen to it...creating vingar...thats how vinigar is made

theoretically, yes. More yeast will speed up the fermentation process. if you want to increase the alcohol content, add more sugar.

Actually the yeast dies after a certain amount of ethanol is produced, so adding more just means more casualties...if you want more alcohol by volume it comes down to certain strains of yeast that are able to withstand the higher volumes of alcohol.......hence SUPER YEAST is used by all....hooray 40 proof beer!
