I think Skyrim looks closer to what I wanted in Oblivion. Oblivion was a great game, but it was focused on the wrong thing: Combat. The combat wasn't awful, but it certainly wasn't the strong point of the game. They should have focused more on the other amazing things about the game or worked on the combat. Looks like Skyrim's doing both, so I am happy and my whining is done.

Those are the same problems I have with Oblivion, it's very repetitive nature. The voice acting isn't terrible, but could have been a LOT better, and been much more diverse. There aren't enough enemies, the leveling system is screwed up, the constant area loading sucked, all the dungeons, caves, and forts are the same, not enough different types of armor, or weapons, the main story is not the best ever, having to enter oblivion gates over and over again, and they all look the same.
Anyway, bottom line, i think Oblivion is not for everyone, if you want action, Forget it, you will totally HATE Elder Scrolls. The whole purpose of the game is trying to get you to play the game slowly and strategicly, and most of all, make the Elder Scrolls world feel alive, because really, the real reason why i play elder scrolls is because of the Lore, which is without a doubt, Amazing, Arena,Daggerfall,Morrowind and Oblivion makes me feel like im part of this lore :)

This is a poorly develop game with a shitty AI system for all the npcs. Terrible graphics, Single model editing, lack of environmental change, no weather factor. Those are the same problems I have with Oblivion, it's very repetitive nature. The voice acting isn't terrible, but could have been a LOT better, and been much more diverse.
