At 10:24, couldn't Habu just block the check with his rook at 4b. He saves both pieces because he's already ahead in material. So if the bishop captures the rook, White still has a chance. The kings position on the other hand, is another story.
wouldnt definately think habu-san would make such a move. prior to this game, I had no idea why this move wasn't good. Thank you for making it clear, Mr. Hidetchi.
what do you think would have happened if instead of defending, Habu would have made a rapid attack like bou-gin

The bishop's never gonna take the rook.
The promoted pawn would just go ahead to 5b, or 5c. Or Silver drop to 5a.
