  • My name is Susanne.....I'm glad my name is shared with unique people...!

  • Quite a nice cover of this by a singer called Greta Svabo Bech here -

    /watch?v=ua2eYrv4v7k

  • nydeligste sangen jeg har hørt på lenge!

  • Du er fantastisk, Susanne! Stå på <3 Dette er ren magi!

  • The remix to this song by Lido Lido is better in my opinion

  • I closed my eyes .... i felt chills arrive ... then I forgot everything around me

  • This song is seriously just unbelievable... huge fan. :)

  • Wow, I was in Norway during the last week of July, in Stavanger, and one evening this song was played. I froze, it embraced me with all of its beauty. It felt celestial. I turned on my camera on the spot and started recording. It's been more than three months now and I've finally found it!!!

  • I feel sad, but want to listen to the song forever.

Don't know why, just long for something more althoug there is none.

  • @bombomyay Hm, you just described it. Thats how I feel.

  • bah, more dull Radioheadery

  • This is my favorite song by an artist EVER. <3

  • this is such a beautiful song

  • what a choir! when I listen to this, i imagine that I am an angel laying in the snow... MARVELOUS!!

  • 16 people's mothers work in brothels.

  • Every single one of these lyrics is lovely and so well crafted. Beautiful <3

  • beautiful song - worst video ever.

  • Taped in the winter and in the dark. As is should be. Susanne never fails. Love this song. It's magic.

  • You don't get this in America. European musicians are so much better than American ones.

  • @BloodLibel94 So true, why can't we have people like them? : (

  • @ZuilzonDTD It's like Europeans have a genetic line to make music, that or the music schools are really good. My Norwegian friend, who introduced me to Susanne Sundfor, goes to a school dedicated to music. I still go to high school as a junior learning about photography and anatomy. I think there's something wrong here. I'm a musician too. She makes me so jealous because she's Norwegian.

  • @BloodLibel94 Most americans have european roots, don't they? Americans make good music as well : - )

    /Peace

  • Susanne sunfør have Norwegians best voice and should has bin send to Germany instead of Stella Mwnagi like didnt came to Germany again: /

  • Who stole God's iPod?

  • So, who wants to go to Norway now?

  • Her voice is absolutely gorgeous, it's so pure.

  • im proud to be from norway

  • Saw her live yesterday. AWESOMENESS

  • Can somebody download Susanne's "As I Walked Out One Evening" on YouTube? It's amazing!

  • makes me cry every time..

  • 15 people are just nothing in this world...

  • wunderschön <3

  • @Wieselrhythmus i agree

  • Usually not in this type of music and I dont remember how I got here. But this certainly will be my opening tab for tommorow, I can listen to this a 1000 times.

What a touching voice and beautifull harmony.

  • I get a strange feeling of being cold when I hear this, and a certain need to cry, it's beauty at it's best.

  • Nice how the numbers of dislikes mentioned in the top comments add up to the actual amount right now., unless you read this comment in a while and more people have disliked it.

  • omg.. goosebumps and tears.. so beautiful

  • The most beautifyl song ever made! Oh my god. <3 Thumbs up if you agree!

  • this is so beautiful! makes me sad though :/

  • awesome :|

  • this makes me proud of being norwegian <3

  • Beautiful song, its so relaxing in a way. i'd love to hear a dubstep version of this to tehe :D she has this great voice, sounds like it fits a dubstep tune to, anytune really.

  • @krinord retard

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard! I almost feel pain in my heart!

  • 12 people SUCK!

  • I'd like to dedicate this song to the 11 big dumb creepy idiots who don't like it

  • this was my post-5k comedown song and it works...

  • I did not listen to the lirics but by the music alone...

I want to be in that brothel

  • Gåsehuuud

  • Just outstanding..

  • If Norway is so amazing as this song, I would like to be there.

  • @agga225 It is

  • @agga225 It's not... But you still have heaven to go to :)

  • @agga225 Norway is a dream! im a latino guy living in Oslo since 2009, I love my country but nothing compares with Norway. THE BROTHEL as album is the perfection, so sublime, if someone wants to get the whole album just let me know it, this great singer deserve that her music gets difusion!

  • @titusdeluxe Me interesa el album completo de The Brothel. Cómo hacer para conseguirlo? Desde ya gracias y saludos!

  • @agga225 so go to Norway as sonn as possible! (chochel.fotolog.pl - photos from Norway)

  • @maciejchochol I love your pictures. They are magic, they are truly. I think Scandinavia is like a dream. :)

  • @agga225 not right now you wouldn't. It's fucking freezing! o_O

  • @agga225 norway IS as amazing as this song..

  • @agga225 it is. I promis you. I live in Norway so i know what I'm talking about

  • makes me shiver.

  • nice;) mye goe tanker:)

  • long time I heard such a beautiful and touching song...so much passion...and her voice is just perfect...

  • @MeriQ90 orly?

  • @orla1992 Yup! Tolker du det annerledes?

  • My Funeral Song

  • rett og slett perfekt!

  • Definition of divinity

  • This song will play at my funeral, knowing that at the age of 15 is comforting

  • trekker kommentaren min

  • This is simply a master piece..

  • Nydeligt:)

  • beste/vakreste sangen i 2010!

  • Written and arranged by Lars Horntveth, the absolute musical genius who's also responsible for this -> "Jaga Jazzist - Oslo Skyline (Live @ Fuji Rock Festival '10)"

  • parts of the chorus remind of the intro theme from ghost in the shell (movie). incredibly powerful stuff....just can't seem to get enough.

  • What an absolutely stunning piece of music! It's a shame that she doesn't get more recognition...hell somebody needs to put this song in a tv-show like asap.

  • 10 people are brothel employees.

  • This is my favorite song. It is so beautiful and deep. I love it!

  • Stunning!

  • Beauty, beauty! It´s beautiful, so strong and sensitive. Her voice reminds me of Rickie Lee Jones but her songs are far far better. This girl will have the recognition she deserves.

  • NYDELIG <3

  • 9 people dont deserve ears...

  • @InwardOutlook And a lot of people should not care about what other people means, but just enjoy the good music :-)

  • i went to a brothel yesterday

  • @michaelmakris Fucking humerous!

props to you my dear friend. You made me laugh!

  • I agree, people aren't recognizing the beatiful darkness she's projecting with her voice and lyrics. @normick, you think we should rather fool ourselves with the idea of a perfect world? This is life, a lot of downs mixed with joyus up's.

Besides, is it just the idea of the song you don't like? Personally, and judging from a lot of other people who's been commenting, the song is amazingly composed. Sadness and anger fleeting together....

  • Alt er vakkert med denne sangen. Dyp og full av følelser.

  • Ei låt ved navn "The Brothel", også ikkeno' pårr i mussikvideo'n?? Nei, detta...

  • 9 personer bommet på tommel opp

  • Meget imponerende, fantastisk sang!

  • nydelig <3

  • 790 personer vet hva musikk er. 9 Personer er dumme i huet.. <3

  • Comment removed

  • @normick Idiot.

  • Herlig sang <3

  • noe så vakkert

  • On the whole I find Norwegian artists to be quite dull. This on the other hand..............fuckinghellfuckinghellfuckinghellllllllllllllll!!!!

  • verdens finaste tristaste sang ! <3

  • The organ sounds really nice.

Men alle teller.

  • Herlige sang, virkelig original og annerledes

  • This song was played alot during summer on our cabin in a small Norwegian town. It reminds me of rainy days, waiting for the sun to disclose herself. Also my parents in their 60s love this song. Even if the song is depressive it gives me a strong feeling of love for my parents, just being with them on that cabin, doing the dishes....

  • I listen almost exclusively to metal and rock, and even I love this song! :D

  • @Sethekk mhm, me too (check my favs)

Just proves that we dont like metal cause it's metal :)

  • Elsker denne sangen.

  • FANTASTISK!!!!!!!!!

  • i love this song so much omg

  • hauntingly beautiful.

  • 6 people failed to recognize beauty...

  • I'm from Scotland and discovered this song (and then the album) after Melody Gardot tweeted a link. It's such a beautiful song and I agree with @TheAlmightySmurf I wish mainstream music in the UK was as amazing as this

  • Nice. :D

  • I love this song.

Im so gonna make a jazzrutine to this one

  • Synger som en Gud =) <33

  • Is this popular in Norway or in the rest of Europe? I wish mainstream music was this good in the Americas.

  • @TheAlmightySmurf Yeah, it's really popular in Norway, and yes, i think it is considered mainstream music. Cool, huh? Although, i think the album got a lot better with the influences of Lars Horntvedt (Jaga Jazzist) who produced the album and composed some of the material.

  • min naturlige hårfarge e lige hennas hårfarge<3<3<3<3

  • Amazing voice! :D

  • Helt fantastisk sang!

  • God, how i love her voice.

  • Dette er en svært, svært god sang.

  • 6 people missed the like button.

  • Quite Incredibly Intriguing and Beautiful. Instantly yearning for more.

  • spooky.

  • Ooooh, I am sold by her beautiful voice. So amazing beautiful though not too sure how the video connects. Can't go wrong with the song though. ;o)

  • Beautiful, meditative, moving...

  • Thumbs up! :D

  • Is it "You call me your eyes, you call me your mouth" and so on, or is it "You cover your eyes, you cover your mouth, you cover your ears" ? :)

  • Interesting. I've never heard this kind of music before. I like it.

  • desperate...

  • i love this!

  • what does this song really mean though...

  • Sverige lämnar sin röst på denna låt. 12 Points from Sweden.

Bravo Wangel.
