I couldn't stand it when my daughter was that age and she got picky about her food. I did the same thing: repurposed the ingredients in a way that made her happy. To anyone who thinks there's something wrong with this, you must understand--rotting food doesn't biodegrade like leaves, it actually creates methane gas that warms the planet, making us ALL suffer. So never let any child in your care believe that it's okay for even a MOMENT to waste food. It's not.
