That guy asking the question at the beginning is bruutal. You notice this in so many of the questions at debates. Invariably, the smart questions are short and to the point. And the ones that are either not questions at all or very silly or stupid ones, involve the person rambling on for 2 and a half minutes without saying anything at all. I think really dumb people have this feeling that if they say a lot it makes up for the total absence of substance to what they are saying.
I see it differently. Really stupid people cannot organize their thought, so their questions come out very unorganized. This is the same reason why, during a math exam, a student who knows the answer can write down the proof in a few lines, whereas a student who does not know the answer will write a bunch of craps.
Happens EVERY debate. Always one that has a five minute preface for a question that didn't need to be answered in the first place. You have time to think of your questions as the debate goes on. Write it down, take out the superfluous or redundant parts, and ask it.
