The movie completely didnt follow the book, and all the important scenes were cut out. I suggest you read the book because it is 100% pure epicness worthy to read again and again. Fox 20 completely screwed the movie up with their mega edits.

This video was really well made and the song fit Murtagh perfectly. He is the best character in the books in my opionion, there's so many contradicting facts and feelings about him. Every time he apears you get to see both sides to him, he's a much more interessting character than Eragon, although he is very cool too. Really well made video. :D

well the looks aren't the same at all eragon has brown hair in the book whereas edward speelers has blonde hair and blue eyes but perhaps I'm being finicky
and you don't even see orik or hrothgar in it the ra zac are completely different to the book the urgals just look like a bunch of fat fellas whereas in the book they have horns and are built like brick shit houses and saphira doesn't have feathers in the book lol

I both agree and disagree - if they make Eldest, I hope they can make it decent (which they didn't do with Eragon), but since so much was left out of the first film, I don't think that's possible.
This song definitly describes Murtagh. Eragon can go jump in a lake. He's so ungrateful towards Murtagh. I don't know why Murtagh even cares about him anymore. I don't know why he ever did.
In Eragon when Murtagh said he was Morzan's son, I was like, "What the heck?!" Poor Murtagh, having to be Morzan's son AND having to be a name-slave to Galbatorix.....The way it left off in Brisingr ticked me off..I hope he turns good again in the 4th book, because he's the best Eragon character ever! (Well, he ties with Eragon.)
My god I had never thought on this song but it is just...incredible! The lyrics seem to have been written on purpose. I love Murtagh so much. He didn't deserve this terrible fate.
They weren't the best written or most original books ever, since Paolini took a lot from Tolkien and other fantasy writers, but they're engaging and pretty easy to read. I found them entertaining and easy to get pulled into the story.
I thought the movie wasnt horrible, but it was a bad choice in actors. I only liked Brom and Murtagh. like kmckutie said. They didnt even get hair color right lol.

i hated the eragon movie. nothing was right. The book is way better. I agree with SnobrdTG. They didn't even get the characters to look right at all. leave the other books to the readers to imagine, it's better that way. But i love this video. I think it really works for Murtagh. He's dark and mysterious like that.... i love it.
I agree that they're really bad at getting the story, but they have to appeal to people that HAVEN'T read the book in about an hour and a half, you just can't match the impact the book gives you in that amount of time.
My bf looks a lot like Murtagh :D (only when Garrett plays this character with the dark hair though.. he doesn't really resemble him with his regular blonde look haha)

*sigh* ur right sadly enough. the movie was... ok, but nothing compared to the books. so much detail that they missed. i wonder how they can possibly make the next one. it would b difficult, and while it may suck, im still gonna see it.

@CascadingWinter It's kind of a good thing.. the frappling director TOTALLY MESSED UP THE STORYLINE!!!!!!!!!! Everything was in the wrong order.. Murtagh was never locked up in a cage.. ARGH!!! How can a person be so STUPID?!

As much as Murtagh hated to admit it, it seemed that there would be no way to get out of it and in the end the choice was the death of him and his dragon or to capture Eragon and enslave him to this agonising life too.
thorn: Do not worry. From what I have seen of Eragon and Saphira, they are not stupid or weak. There may still be hope. But it pains me to have to fight another dragon. It is not right.

The riders name he could not remember but the scream of his roaring gold dragon stuck in his head. It tortured him that Galbatorix could even control Murtaghs body. Why did the elf and his dragon hide? They could have helped me and thorn, yet they chose to stay hidden.

I both agree and disagree - if they make Eldest, I hope they can make it decent (which they didn't do with Eragon), but since so much was left out of the first film, I don't think that's possible.

This song definitly describes Murtagh. Eragon can go jump in a lake. He's so ungrateful towards Murtagh. I don't know why Murtagh even cares about him anymore. I don't know why he ever did.

In Eragon when Murtagh said he was Morzan's son, I was like, "What the heck?!" Poor Murtagh, having to be Morzan's son AND having to be a name-slave to Galbatorix.....The way it left off in Brisingr ticked me off..I hope he turns good again in the 4th book, because he's the best Eragon character ever! (Well, he ties with Eragon.)

They weren't the best written or most original books ever, since Paolini took a lot from Tolkien and other fantasy writers, but they're engaging and pretty easy to read. I found them entertaining and easy to get pulled into the story.

seriously, murtagh is the only one that actually looks like it says in the book. eragon too i guess. but arya? sh has black hair, not blond! and they didnt show eragion getting his back sliced open, or arya and saphira breaking the star rose to help eragon.

i hated the eragon movie. nothing was right. The book is way better. I agree with SnobrdTG. They didn't even get the characters to look right at all. leave the other books to the readers to imagine, it's better that way. But i love this video. I think it really works for Murtagh. He's dark and mysterious like that.... i love it.

I agree that they're really bad at getting the story, but they have to appeal to people that HAVEN'T read the book in about an hour and a half, you just can't match the impact the book gives you in that amount of time.
