nice video pal. i live about mile and a half from the gulf refinery and i heard clearly all the explosions and all that smoke. really impressive ur footage :)
The smoke cloud continues, but it seems to be diminishing. They say that the air quality remains in an acceptable level, but I don't trust the authorities here- they tend to lie quite a bit or fail to be completely honest- irrespective of party affiliation. (I'll be posting a video on beach water quality later to show how they manipulate the information to "protect" the beaches frequented by toursits).
The good thing is that people continue to be evacuated, and so far it is not raining (the rain would force the precipitation of more pollutants onto the ground).
They believe there's a criminal hand behind this. The government has already declared an emergency- but they've been waiting for months now for some disaster so that they can get the Feds to send us even more millions.
They should be wearing masks for at least a week, the toxic fumes from such a fire will linger around for weeks. I work in the Haz Mat field, Firefighter, and Medic, here in NY state. This is something that the Gov should have been prepared for, Puerto Rico's Bravest are not prepared for this, AT ALL. I wish I could help, my 14 y/o daughter lives there.
43mongo- the goods news is that the fire was extinguished yesterday. Nevertheless, you, your daughter, and all those affected are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hey thanks. I hope you weren't affected too much by the explosion.

I know where this is, that's horrible. Anyone with respiratory ailments should wear a mask for a day or 2.

My girlfriend's aunt & her whole extended family lives there. I believe they are staying with some friends now on the other side of the island.

I don't understand your comment. Were you not sad that it happened? Or are you saying my video didn't make you sad?
