  • I also have very fond memories of these programs, I watched them during my 1 hour a day of T.V. for several years!

  • Does anyone remember a show that the witch was in called "I-Land Treasures?" About a pirate and a Genie? I would LOVE to be able to see that again! The witch's name was "Lady Speakwell" and she was a Genie!

  • VenusPenis, I would have to agree with you. Because I remember that show too.

  • wow i thought i was the only one who rememberd this lol

  • The Glory Days Of Old PBS. And I Love It How The Librian And The Witch Interacted With The Viewers. I Remember Watching This Show At My House In Canton, South Dakota And in My Kindergarten Class Too. I Still Wish That Someone Would Put Full Episodes Of This Show On Here. And I Think That Marion The Librian Reminds Me Of Princess Shayla (From The Tv Show Power Rangers Wild Force).

  • The lady who plays Marian is my Mom :) She still can't believe that people remember these shows!

  • I don't see why not. They're a part of a lot of people's fond memories of their early years.

  • really???

  • What a random place to find a fellow South Dakotan! I'm from Brookings. I went to cosmetology school with a girl from Canton. Anyway...yes. This show was the greatest. :)

  • Wow I Remember This Episode This Is So Wonderful. Ever Since I Was Young I Always Wanted To Know Who Sings That Song At The Begining Of That Show?. And I Just Loved It When The Librian And The Witch Was Talking To The Kids. Ah The Glory Days Of Old PBS. I Wish That Someone Would Put Some More Old Clips On Here. I Would Love To See Them Again.

  • I haven't seen this show for YEARS!! I'm 26 and it brings me back to when I was like, 4. I LOVE THIS SHOW. Marion is the best. The witch was a little creepy. I always wanted Marion to run away and read her own books in lik, a field or something. :)

    Thank you for the memories!

  • Oh, I just read the above comment, Star Lore. Your mom was the best I was raised in a small town in nebraska, now live in omaha. I have wanted to contact the university to see if they had any old copies of this. Your mom brought me many happy memories!!!

  • It's so weird, my mom looks the same now YEARS later as she did when she played Marion the Librarian! I showed her some of these clips and she just laughed about how much fun they had when they filmed the show. My Dad is in the credits, Donald W Peterson. I don't talk to him anymore, so I can't really ask him about it. Anyway, how cool, if you get anymore clips I'd love to see them, and so would my mom!

  • Wow! I was born in 73 and I remember (which I absolutely LOVED) watching in NorthEast Nebraska. I always felt bad for the pretty librarian that she was gonna have to stay with the witch, I supposed, forever! I'd love to know, did your mom do any other shows besides SpaceLore? When were these produced? Did she keep in touch with "the Witch" & finally, is she still involved in television? Thanks for info on a show that brought back wonderful memories and thank you, Charterstone, for posting!!!

  • The show she's in above is called Once Upon A Time and I know she did another one called Star Lore I think it was called. I don't think she keeps in touch with the witch any longer and nope she only did these shows and that was it. She laughed at me when I told her clips from her shows are on YouTube...she can't believe people still remember the show and especially can't believe people remember HER! If you have any other questions for her just ask me and I'll pass them along!

  • was your mom in another show with the same concept, and the same actress played a villian, but was an alien instead of a witch? do you know what that show was called?
