Going any further down to the left would have been suicide. There was a trap down there. A paddle tire and light bike would probably do the trick but this little excursion was part of a 6000km trip over many different surfaces including highways.
A lighter bike might have made the difference but I had to ride over 2500km to get to this spot so then it makes for a different story. Heavy or not, I love my KLR.
