I'm not religious, but I think that it was... very sweet, this whole prayer chain thing. I mean, rather a lot of the world was destroyed by conflict between religions, but in some places people actually follow its principles, the principles that all religions have that suggest peace and harmony (depending on when, of course, the religion was started and where it was from- nowadays religions are a lot... well, nicer. You know, no stoning your wife).

In Islam our prayer is to mention God and His greatness so its a reminder and a connector to the Only creator.  What is in the vid is called Dua in our religion where you ask God and praise Him because simply your creator knows best. you don't need dozen of people to pray for your sake. just be Sincere and have faith and God is all Hearing All seeing.

But this doesn't mean praying or the choices you make won't affect what happens, it just means he already knows what choices you're going to make and what will happen because of that.
