no my dear, males only kill cubs that are NOT their own. Once a new male invades a pride, he kills the old males cubs, this sends the females into heat again and now he inseminates them with his own seed so they will give birth to his cubs. In actuality male lions are VERY mushy to their own cubs and extremely hostile towards other males cubs.

It's also amazing to see how that cubs predatory instincts are coming out like during the part where he put his paws out and pounced on his dads tailbone, despite only knowing life in a zoo. Goes to show you how natural it is!
