Great video, thanks for sharing. There was at least one more trip in December 1996 when K190 and T345 were sent down to the SGR. K183 double headed with K190 to Nyora with T345 dead attached. K183 then ran solo to Korumburra while K190 followed with the SGR aircon cars before running a shuttle to Leongatha. K183 ran the Steamrail train back to Melbourne while K190 stayed down there for a while.
AFAIK your video shows the only time J515 made it down there in the preservation era.
@vrfan2006 Thanks for that info. I just posted a video of K190 on one of its operational days towing the SGR cars and 55RM from Leongatha and hauling the DERM solo between Korumburra and Nyora and back. D3-639 and another K were also on loan down to the South Gippsland Railway for a while on other separate occasions. We're just starting to catch up with it all now. I have much video of pulling the tracks up beyond Leongatha and the recovery trains too but it will be quite a job to edit it all.
