You guys have to be kidding...Bowie's version is waaaay better. He (Bowie) evokes such atmosphere with his resonant voice. This version sounds like a show tune. It's not bad, but the gravity of the song seems stripped with this bright version. No comparison.

In Bowie's version you get a sense that he really feels what he is singing about, there is a theatricallity to the performance that actually gives me goosebumps. This version seems pale and insipid by comparison. I get the impression that, if Scott Walker is feeling anything at all while he sings this, it's, "gee, I sing good."

Ich hab das Buch auch angefangen zu lesen und war erstaunt dass es das Lied wirklich gibt.jetzt kann ich mir das schon besser vorstellen alles

Irgentwie mag ich das Lied auch.Ich hab auch das Buch gelesen.Aber eigentlich war das ja Alessandro´s ipod und das Lieblingslied seiner Mutter.

Jaja, Kai Meyer hat dieses Lied echt berühmt gemacht :D Aber ich find ja, dass es total zu dem Buch und besonders zu Rosa passt... sie benimmt sich manchmal ja genauso komisch wie dieses Lied klingt... naja Geschmackssache ;)
