NS is available in the army,navy, air force, police and civil defence. I serve my NS when I was 20 years old and ord when I was 22. Now I 24 years old.

I serve my NS in SCDF. The water cannon on scdf fire engine is much more powerful. The water persure is capable of cutting a human head from it's body. The water cannon use by the PTT is use only in crowed control as not that powerful so not to harm the rioters on any innocent bystanders.

You can serve your NS as a Soldier , Police Officer or SCDF. FYI you can't choose the unit you like.. it decide for you =]

@mandonut I agree with u dude I have been in the army during ns and the police as a vsc and i understand both sides combat and tactical speciality of their profession. But however most of the bullshits that i heard comes from people who have not handled firearms before or have not been in either of these two forces so they only know how to talk cock while those men in uniforms actually know how to handle situations.
