Love this vid! I paused my college experience to try out for LAB pilot employment. I remember the short gravel strip going into Haines/Skagway, and the brief drive to the pilot shack complete with its legged steel tub with encircling shower curtain. A guy from Seattle was there at the same time trying out. He got the job over me ( a true lower 48er) of course. I'll never forget the experience with LAB though brief as it was.
20+ years flying jets and I think the experiance I gained from Layton and Lynn was the most valuable. Sorry they are gone but thanks for a great video. Brought back a lot of great memories. Class of 1985-86
July 2008 - were you there when the FAA revoked their certificate? How did that play out from an insider's perspective?

Nice job on this video Aaron. I really miss the "real" flying. SE Alaska wont be the same without LAB ;-(
