The trailer is interesting. Could it be that the vehicle is an electric and ford is considering a trailer based range extender. Think about it. You normally use your electric car to commute around an urban area, but occasionally you travel a long distance. A trailer the size of this one could extend your range an additional 300 miles, where you trade the battery pack for a fully charged one.

from the looks of it, it wasn't a spoiler just a plastic bit covering the top of the trunk lid. so the conclusion i draw from this is that while ford cannot make good camoflouge. the car is rigid enough through a turn to cause an exterior shell to fall off. bad camo good car.
