This is so cool. Well, I have watched other year's Olympics as well, and to my opinion, I think China did very well for their opening ceremony. Maybe some people might think their technology is not as advanced or they use lesser technology but I think that doing all of this without as much use of technology is really impressive.

the sound keeps looping and in the foreground below the rows of lights seem to bounce in a looping pattern could this all be cgi? Also does anybody remember the athens opening ceremonies. china copied every thing about those ceremonies, nothing was original except for the boxes tthat made patterns. China still seems to have a problem w/ creativity. reverse technology is still there strongest aspect.

I thought there was an issue concerning pollution in China. Am I right? By the time the fifth minute of fireworks starts, you can hardly see them because of all the smoke from the first four minutes! Not that I care about it that much but if you're gonna try to reduce pollution by shutting down factories and taking cars off the road, why not just have a huge fireworks rehearsal and ceremony to boot!!! Yay!!!
