  • soundin like Alicia Keys, go head girl

  • Thank you!!!!!!.. THANK YOU.... I hope this video hits millions!...

  • Very positive message but unfortunately black on black will never stop. This is why when I add hair or whatever I do to myself I please me no one else no man no woman no living person just meeee meee meeee.

  • @comfortblankit40 Exactly

  • Speak sister!!!!

  • CLAP,CLAP,CLAP!! I JUST STARTED WEARING WIGS BECAUSE I NEED A BREAK FROM DOING MY NATURAL HAIR, WHEN I CUT MY LOCKS OFF AFTER 5 YEARS I HAD IT SHORT FOR AWHILE AND LET IT GROW NOW ITS SHOULDER LENGTH, SO NOW I WEAR A WIG! AND SO FAR I LOVE THEM, IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THEN WHEN I CUT MY HAIR OFF I SHOULD OF WORE A WIG THEN! I LOVE THEM, ITS A PROTECTIVE STYLE FOR ME, I WEAR SHORT SASSY WIGS AND I LOVE IT! I LOVE YOUR VIDEO AND YOU ARE VERY PRETTY!

  • bailey are you still with us/ read the comment again, you jackass.

  • you have such a beautiful smile sis, great video!!

  • @lovelyti2002 Thank you honey

  • sistah, go with cha bad self.. I love your message peace....

  • @ree2it Thank you

  • Love this video!!! Almost poetic. My hair is natural, but who cares, your hair does not make who you are. Amen

  • @dell1nell Thank you

  • Some blk men go on and on about blk wm this and blk wm that and never do they complain about what other women of other races do. Its as if those women are perfect even though a lot of them get plastic surgery, butt lifts, lip injections and breast implants on a far higher scale than blk wm ever could. I think a lot of it is just picking at blk wm. Some of these blk men are bitter towards blk wm and yet the same reasons they date outside their race is the same reason blk wm wear weaves, wigs, etc

  • Its true that there are far more important issues that need to be addressed in the blk community besides what blk women are doing with their hair, but at the same time I do think its wise for blk wm to definately be knowledgable about our own hair and to care for it as best we can in conjunction with wearing our favorite weaves, wigs, etc.. A person has the right to wear their hair as they choose. Im natural and thats my choice; it may be different for another wm. Who cares? To each his own.

  • Thank you, Lovie2000. The disagreements over hair have created anxiety for too many women of color. The debates are as heated as religious debates. Judging one another needs to stop. How another woman fixes her hair and what she does with it is no one else's business. Those that sit in judgment of other women wearing wigs, weaves, or straightening their hair are women that often do not love themselves; because when you love yourself, there's no room to judge someone else.

  • Like the video.

  • i am right there wit ya sista girl!!!!

  • I agree, the hair does not make you. I recently BC'd again for the 3rd time (due to breakage). My hair is very short (about 1/2" from my scalp). We as women, especially, African-American women, need to stop bashing each other and support one another - whether we choose to be natural, relaxed, texturized, weaved, or processed in some other form (i.e. curl). Thank you for this video!

  • very nice

  • @deniseloc Thank you diniseloc

  • i freakin love this video, i like the curly wig the best

  • @korigga19 Thank you hun

  • ooooooh I like the afro one and the first short one too

  • @slo1986 Thank you

  • -i dont understand why must people worry so much about other people's hair ! continue to preach=)

  • I do like this. I wear just a nice cut. My hair is practically are premature gray, I don't use chemicals and I get plenty of compliments. I really do say to each his own but truly everyone doesn't wear wigs as nicely as you do Lovie. I look like a clown in one and have never worn a weave but yours looks great and really frames your face. Glad I watched this because you said it quite well. Thanks.

  • @9876543217303 Thank you for your lovely comment.... and for letting your lovely personality shine through as well

  • love your voice sister! your tone reminds me of Angela Bassett (v.calm and self-assured)

  • @Nibbler800 Thank you Nibbler.... for some reason I want some cookies now.... :)

  • i love the afro!

  • @slimkaa Thank you, I do too

  • Thank you so much for this video. You summed it all up. People need to think about there own business and then they will not have time to be in anyone else business. There is too much going on in the world than to worry about something as small as hair. I wear wigs, weaves and my own hair. It is fun to wear weaves and wigs sometimes to switch it up. My hair is thin also. Besides people are going to talk about you anyways it's called jealousy.

  • excellent points!

  • pretty

  • Be you and do you cause that all you can do!!! i Love my natural hair but i love to change my look!!! no one can stop me lol

  • so did you blow dry your hair before you put it in the ponytail? i'm curious b/c you said you have relaxed it since 2002, which means you natural texture must have SOME curl to it, otherwise you would never have permed it.

  • @mcamurray Nope I put it in a pony tail while it was wet...... I have thin limp hair...especially when it is straightened............. and yes it has curl in it when it is wet..... it wouldn't look like this if I hadn't pulled it up in a rubberband

  • hell i wear weaves and I have long hair and am not black....weave, wig....who cares as long as your happy....

  • @RIA310 Thank ya.... ain't it the truth

  • u look like lefy eye on first pic ur soo pretty

  • @mercedeslovesu17 Thank you mercedeslovesu

  • I agree with you I love wearing wigs and I am natural but I love my hair pieces! Hair is a fashion statement as well as a growing process for your hair. Keep rockin your wigs girl!

  • @trugurl I surely will hun, don't let nobody try to conform you to what they think you should be....

  • I agree with you I love wearing wigs and I am natural but I love my hair pieces! Hair is a fashion statement as well as a growing process for hair. Keep rockin you wigs girl!

  • hey you're beautiful inside out...wig or no wig....by the way i love that song you're playing in the background...who's it by..?????

  • @sweet4u2bad Thank you sweetie

  • thank you so much, i've been so depressed with my hair lately and this video made me realize that i was being shallow. you look beautiful and you're so beautiful inside as well, wig or no wig. my favorite is the afro :)

  • YW and thank you for watching and commenting....The afro is my favorite too... :)

  • You look pretty even with your hair all over the place.

  • lol ........ thank you mllequi

  • absolutely true hair or looks doesnt involve your personality what matters is the inside the persons heart

  • Uhm Excusee Mee I Get Your Point Hun

My Mom is a hairstylist and she does african american womens hair they have long pretty hair hair dosent make who you are but it makes your beauty did you know some people in this world dont even have hair hair makes you who you are because it makes your beauty and from beauty comes personality

  • Well I don't think hair makes you who you are.....and yes I know there are people that don't have hair and without their hair they are still beautiful along with a beautiful personality......some, not all

  • I'm not a hateful person sister, but may I respectfully disagree with you on something? I agree that your "hair" doesn't make you who you are,but doesn't who we are inside,ALWAYS manifests on the outside? Ex: To wear a natural,or even balding, in a time where most Nubian ppls are shallow, judgemental, trendy, and dettatched from their roots, shows a sense of Pride,Love-of-Self, Leadership, and Honesty.

  • For some that may be true....and that is what I was trying to say here..the message that is being put out is that all of us that wear wigs, extensions, or relax their hair, we are trying to be European or white...

and yes who we are should manifest on the outside, but I don't think that slapping a wig on or relaxing the hair, changes who you are on the inside...and if it does...that only means they are trying to be something that they are not...and that is not the wigs fault..that is the person

  • OMG! You are a very pretty person (and you look great for your age). In another vid, *if I'm not mistaken* you stated that you are pursuing a B.A. degree. I wish you well and success and NEVER give up. Education is so important, and it can be tough at times balancing life. But you can do it! Don't let ANYONE discourage you. "People try to tear down what they themselves cannot build".-ME! PS-All of your hair styles are becoming on you.

  • Thank you,

  • u gotta be a aries

  • nope, aquarius

  • Coon Killer? I'd love to see you actually say that to a black person's face in real life you fake ass little shit. You're like those World of Warcraft niggas that can only talk tough online. Lol, coming to youtube to act like you something, lmao computer thug.

    Real tough guy you are.

  • sometimes i comb my hair and sometimes i wont

  • don't watch her vids, if you don't like her. ;-)

  • Stop hiding behind ur sock accounts greasy old ass bitch....

    before I expose your ass

  • This world can't leave black women alone. Lovie2000, thank you for making this video. I've also noticed the "hair-bashing" epidemic lurking YouTube. And the sad thing is that it's among us black people. I don't know any other race that does such a thing. All the things in the world to debate about and we're debating on "hair". God help us! Keep putting the truth out there like you're doing. Your wigs are beautiful by the way. Love your style sista.

  • wow! you've got some really good pionts! I'm personally from norway, and this was very surprising for me, but when you told more I understood more. Thak you!

  • #1 I dont know how I got to this video but its interesting, thanks

#2 you have a poignant voice & could brilliantly narrate movies

#3 what the hell I cant believe that people give you a hard time about HAIR- thats absurd, everybody uses clothing, hair, makeup etc as a form of beauty &/or expression so whatever they can go to hell the hypocrites!

  • i have no hair but i think wigs r the tools of the devil

  • I didnt even know you wore wigs untill I heard you say it in a video and then I still didnt believe it.

  • you are so hypocritical.. lol, you were talking about how dark skin women are insecure around light skinned womenn.. and your excuse about your hair, you need to seek help.. your delusional..

  • Are you lonely or something......

I am not gonna keep you company nor your time occupied.....find someone else to read these stupid comments of yours, that are laced with your opinionated blame and accusations.....

  • Good video. 5 Stars

  • Thank you honey and for watching

  • Your beautiful with or without the wigs, and your wigs look really nice!

  • i love this people dont want me to wear lace wigs !!1 just dont care about what people say !!!!

  • Every race of people wear extensions and wigs. It's not only a black thing. People of all different races have been doing it for centuries. Extensions, lacefronts, etc..were all created by Hollywood to give both white female and male stars that glamourous hair that we see in movies. Black people need to get over this self-hatred about our hair. Because everybody manipulates their hair. You're gorgeous, sis, with real or fake hair. It all looks good on you.

  • you go girl!! your clip is great

you are right, I'm not coloured and i love wearing my wigs, I'm loving your wigs

  • hey lovie2000 I like the fro and the big wavy hair wig those are great..

  • I LOVE you! You speak for me..Beautiful, Strong Intelligent, Loving, Giving, Black Woman!

  • Sis your right we as women need to get over it wether hair is natural wig weave or whatever! You still rocked your natural hair standing straight up on your head like that Sis! You spirit from the inside out makes you beautiful stay blessed and don't lower yourself to even address folk who obviously have some life issues to take the time to dump on you or anyone else. You already know by now I'm lovin that wig. Take care girl

  • i love lovie after seeing her vids she is talking the truth like a beast stop worring about her hair and shit and she actually come out and say her stuff on her vids

  • U have a nice sleep tonight, OK, wake up in the morning and start your ignorance all over again

  • And when I block you, that means stay the fuck off my shit, not go to another one of your fake ass accounts and leave another one of your ignorant ass comments as if you didn't get the message from your other account on my last video, bastard

    Piece of shit

  • i thought some black peeps got naturally hair like this? didnt knew u get it done extra but it looks cute on u ur naturally hair ...much respect ...how u show up ur self open n speak ur mind not many do it!

  • You are Speaking The Truth!!!

  • I feel what you are saying . I'm male and i think it would even cause a more debate for men to wear a lace wig . I have nice hair its natural dark . I wanted to be blond but you can get cancer from hair chemicals and all . Why cant people all just except people for who they are . You are beautiful !!!

  • I just subscribed to you! you're awesome :)

  • Thank you honey, it is much appreciated

  • Im feelin this! U betta say that!

  • You are sooooooo right Hun!! Love your insight, I feel like you. I'm natural now, but the way you where your hair is a preference. Your hair doesn't make you. It doesn't change who you are inside. God Bless you Hun!!

  • Goo Girl !!

  • you damn right

  • U betta tell it girl! I get soooo tired of hearing that bullshit from men regarding wigs and extensions. Like you, I have soft hair, but mine looks like the back of a sheep's ass when it rains. It's just too easy to throw on a 'do and keep steppin'. Keep on preaching sista. :D

  • at 5:45 ur diana ross's baby! OMG

  • damn ur strong!

  • great video

  • I'm sorry i see it in the headings, thanks anyway. thats a nice song.

  • whats the name of this song, please tell me thanks.

  • well said sista

  • Love it GIRL!!!!

  • I like wig 1, 3, 5, 10. Your wigs look decent though a lot of people don't wear them that neat.

  • Thank you sweetie

  • lovie, do your thang, let the haters do what they do...hate! diva, i liked the 1st wig out of all of them, the fro was hittin too....l have long hair also but love weaves, wigs, braids ... i just love wigs i am college educated, love me some me, i am not confused, and i love my blackness. btw. hair weaving started back in africa so its nothing new. its just there will always be people who have control issues... tell all the haters to mind they damn business.

  • I love...love it!!! Your cool as heck. I have hair in my back. The way I got there was by weaves first. Now I braid my hair up and throw on the wig girl!! They are quick, already styled and way cheaper than a weave and I do my own weave. The human hair weaves are not what they use to be back in old days. They shed all over the place...plus you have to curl them. The synthetic wigs, now that's what I'm talking about. I will never weave again. Peace!!!!

  • All of them look gorgeous on ya but 4:58 is toogorgeous. i love the curly locks. haha n girl u super brave with the afro! You worked it though :]

  • i love you for that editorial in the begining..that was the TRUTH! im a weave girl myself i can relate! god bless weave and wigs LMAO!!!!

  • HEY you should be a wig model you have the face for it

  • amen to this video

  • Thank you for watching

  • I loved the message but honestly I sub'd you because I looooovvvvve the song:)

  • I love your wigs and you look beautiful in them. I say whatever makes you feel happy go for it.

  • Omigosh THANK YOU! You are one of the few people that actually have some common sense. I perm my hair but guess what? That doesn't make me any less black than these dumb hefers that totally snipe at us about the way we wear our hair. God gave us freewill and he gave us hair. Therefore, we have the freewill to do whatever we want with our hair.

  • Thank you dollfayce,

I just don't get what or how we are hurting the natural and lock wearing sisters.

    I really don't

  • Natural is BEAUTIFUL. Have you researched Sisterlocks? THEY ARE VERY STYLEABLE VERSATILE LOCKS WHICH YOU WILL LOVE, AN THEY LOOK GREAT ON ALL HAIR TEXTURES. THE WIGS, WEAVES CAN ALL GO IN THE BIN

  • I have read about it and I have no problem with people that choose to go that route.

But why the need to come at those that choose not to as if we are a disgrace or if this choice is actually causing natural sisters so much pain?

I mean is really hurting the natural and lock sisters?

If so, please tell me how it is causing such a big problem?

  • Love the video! U R right,u make the hair. I'm white & love wigs, ponytails, etc. My hair is babyfine & to get the looks I like, hairy hats R the answer. LOL. Thank God 4 all the black girls here that have shared so much wonderful information on wigs & weave. I've learned so much about what to buy & how to wear it. Most of the stuff made 4 white girls is, 2 me, crap. I'll probably get flack for some of my comments, don't care. N E way, thanks & keep makin' vids! I need all the help I can get.

  • There are some people who reflect their inner racial identity issues with their hair, but hair is usually just hair. The hair is not going to tell you if someone can cook a feast, run a marathon, be loving and sweet, pay bills on time, garden, etc. Hair its just a fun way to accessorize ourselves if we so chose. Thank you for promoting love and tolerance with this video.

  • I love changing my hair with the weather, so I haven't gotten the opportunity to see how people react to different styles. Sometimes you can observe people before formally meeting them. I observed one brother stop and stare at two white women crossing the street. Later on, he came out his face to ask me what's under there and how I should keep it natural. I have seen people like straight hair, but it expect it to be naturally so. The hypocrisy astounds me.

  • I'm sorry, but the people on youtube are horrible nasty people.

    great video

  • wigs/pieces have been out 4 centeries, look at your next dollar. men made then popular and if you watch old silent movies you will see the women take her piece/wig off and put it on the bed poll. hollywood always used them and they are available 4 anyone. i like them due salons that ruin hair due to style instead of treatment of the hair. i have beatiful hair and will buy a wig in style that fits my mood at the time and save money. also as a head covering for church instead of a hat. thanks

  • I understand the point you're trying to make. There are too many people on youtube bashing each others channel's because they are full of hate and have nothing better to do. I have to disagree with you though on one point. The women on here giving pointers on how they manage and take care of their hair dont believe their hair makes them who they are. They do it because it makes them look beautiful and that is their preference. Just like wearing wigs are your preference.

  • Thanks for watching and commenting

But how can you disagree with what I said in the video, while repeating what I said in the video as what you disagree with?

I say the hair doesn't make you/us, it is like an accessory, clothing, etc., listen again.

Other people that make videos about wearing wigs, hairpieces, etc, are the ones that say it is because of low self-esteem, we are trying to be European, etc.,

  • The afro one is my favourite, it´s made with natural or sintetic hair??? I want to buy one like that but in spain the only wigs are for old ladys with ugly styles

  • I love you and the Fro! You better work miss! Your Beautiful, inside and out

  • I'm a fan of urs and great teeth too. Nice work, keep crusading

  • Girly, true things u say there, but mind showing some teeth?

  • love your vids thats true i am 15 i had plaits extensions i loved it my hair grew

  • love the song, very soulful, need more singers like you wit that, accent, its beautifull

  • I agree. But it's also a preference and an opinion. Don't let others make you upset. I personally think that perms are unhealthy but not unattractive. I'd prefer to not put weaves or wigs in/on my hair because I think it defeats the purpose of me having hair to begin with. But I don't think it's wrong for YOU or anyone else to do it.

  • i feel bad for black people's hair ..gosh what they goin throu

--thats right the hair doesnt make who u r ...u can look like a monkey and evryone will hav respect for ya !!!

    xxx

  • I just tried using a wig and I love it! I cut my hair very short and wanted long hair look for the day. I was a little scared at first of the thought of what others would think. But, I thought like this lady, I 'm confident about who I am as a person, why not. I agree hair is just as clothing a fashion statement and the styles changes constantly.

  • All the women that are bashing other women for wearing weave are full of s**t. Most of those women wear makeup, does that change who they are? Makeup in meant to fashion statement, so is wigs. Lets cut the bulls**t and keep it real.

  • GONE HEAD GIRL

  • i really like the curly one at 4:58

    pretty

  • Comment removed

  • I mean't exactly what I typed in the title.......

Am I in a English class getting graded.

  • Thank you Cany19820

  • AMEN sister

  • Thank you nynaturalbeauty

  • You are absolutely Beautiful....

  • Thank you songbird

  • Finally somebody that understands. Thank goodness you posted this. I was about to give up on youtube for a second. All I saw was people bashing women who wear wigs and weave. A hot mess.

  • I came across this by accident..You a cool chick. Beautiful with all them wigs and without. Keep spreading the message. =) I love wearing wigs.

    Thank you for sharing.

  • Yeah i understand you thats what i'm saying. Hair is just Hair you wear it on top your head whats the big deal. If you wana have your natural hair for one day and the next day have breaid extentions or weave i've seen alot of latino and white women where weaves it's not only us . Has long has your confident with your self then you can do whatever you please with your hair. Hair it's juss Hair why are we amking this such a big issue

  • It's sad to watch folk transferring their insecurities/hidden agendas on others. I saw a video in which someone decided black women shouldn't wear wigs, weaves, or braids, but should go natural. She was so concerned, she gave her salon info. so that SHE can give you the natural look. She's obviously seeking clients who don't know how to wash and condition their hair.

Wigs and weaves are accessories; anyone who tries to make more of it have issues that are beyond the scope of this topic.

  • THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! Its not a big deal....Long short natural permed relaxed fake IT DOESNT MATTER! The whole of all that is to make you look good! so what if I bought it! Stop hatin man ....we have a Black president !

  • finally like y do ppl make such a big deal on these kinds of things it dosnt make a difference

  • Well said!

    Beautiful video!

  • she so right, yall bashing her like its funny n cool, fake hair is like rims and name brand clothes point is and point blank somebodys ass wanna be seen. I wear wigs weave whatever i can afford cause it make me feel good

  • but it seems as if ur hair is permed...that aint natural

  • Welll its not permed....I have used relaxer in the past and there is nothing wrong with a persons choice to do so....what you see is the result of shampooing the hair and putting a rubber band on it while it is wet and let it dry......

  • Women can be so stupid. Who cares what you where on your head. Its nobodies business.

  • lol u sound like alicia keys..but ur right...people r judge by anything..either hair,race and u inspired me...and ur rught

  • You go girl! Weave or natural, you still look good. Like Indie Arie says, "I'm not my hair." =)

  • That's right.

  • this sounds like spoken word

    i like it

  • u kno what, since u wana b a bytch about it, u look like golem from lord of the rings. u just a bitter, hatin azz bytch. u mad cuz u wear wigs to hide ur fuzz and i can wear them for convienience. u the type of chick to use the race card as an excuse for ur flaws nd at the same time, act like bein blk makes u better than every other race. u aint no better tho. learn to love urself first before u go tryna preach to blk women cuz u just a hater wit a superiority complex. fake azz hoe.

  • did you actually listen to the video before commenting.....if so.....you are as stupid as your comment post

hatin because I wear a wig....playing the race card because I wear a wig....I'm better than other races because I am black...

No you the bitch...and I say nigga please

go stand on the curb with that bullshit you talking

  • I think I just bashed you, But I liked your end song, Does that Mean I cant listen to you end song?I like the flow. becuz I like it. but I bashed you, But maybe that makes me a hypocryte. SO I guess you dont want me to listen to it , you must be like, GET THE FUK OUT. LOL.

baby baby baby take your time, and loOove me~~~ dum dum dum dum, dum dum dum dum.
