  • This is so true and so sad. Can't find any records unbelievable. Yep young people don't know what a record is. Country music also gone in Nashville. It's kinda rap, rock, noice stuff not many can sing, noice. They don't want steel guitar either. What a shame. ET wouldn't believe it.

  • eeerrrr....

  • @anddz This video is over 3 years old. The shop was started in 1947 and wouldn't have made it this long if it stuck only to vinyl. That said, they are stocking vinyl again, as it is finally being pressed again.

Don't get me wrong, I hugely prefer vinyl, but the ETRS stocks NEW (unused) products, and at this time, no one was pressing bluegrass or country vinyl.

  • no vinyl, gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy

  • @shitIMGOINGPOSTAL a lot of bullshit in this record shop

  • @The170460 so true

  • No vinyl? that's awesome. A music store that is not stuck in the dark ages. I can't wait to visit.

  • Well this store seems a waste of time to watch and for vinyl lovers its a insult calling the store record shop to me the word record is vinyl records not cds or dvds it is a shame the history has all gone because when it first opened it sold vinyl and it still should sell vinyl now . but lets face it their are more record shops in the world.

  • what a gyp,and in Nashville!

  • I was disappointed not to find vinyl in there. I'm 35 - am I still young?! :-)

Happily, there was a pile of country vinyl in another shop down the Broadway. It was like walking around the vaults of Fort Knox to me. I spent more than a few bucks in both establishments in the end. There are no better souvenirs of Nashville than CDs/Records/Tapes.

  • @gearoiddom im 12 and i collect records thats why i am watching these vids

  • CDs are records. There just digital, not analog.

  • @ernlay

    they're DISCS not RECORDS, fool!

big difference with the soundrange, dumbass

  • If you re in Austin,Tx check out Third Squirrel records in Georgetown, awesome record shop

  • Don needs to get a clue... ask about Ernest Tubb and the history of the store. People who want to buy vinyl know where to get it. The incessant questions about records are tiring.

  • Somebody should tell him to stock Ernie's used albums and 45's. They are all over the USA. I just got Madonna's latest CD on vinyl, vinyl ain't final.

  • Records are recordings, CD's are records. CD is the format, just like vinyl is the format. LP's are long players as opposed to singles, therefore LP's are also CD's. I still buy tons of vinyl in my local record shop.

  • There is an Ernest Tubb Record Shop in the Ft. Worth Stock Yards in Ft Worth Texas as well. WELL WORTH THE VISIT!!

Jim & AJ can help you there! God bless ol' Ernest!

  • So is there a restroom or not?

  • vinyl is still being pressed to this day these two old farts are clueless

  • i traveled 30,000 miles to see the opery.if you belive all the pro mo you hear nobody would visit. i enjoyed all the old mostly dead now singers.regards=.kiwi.=

  • Why is the video owner addressing this record shop in downtown Nashville? It is actually right outside of Nashville, across the street from the new opry house and hotel. I have been there many times. It's a great place especially during the midnight jamborees. If the owner wants people to visit there then he needs to give a better address to help people locate it.

  • @Benedizione there are 2 locations. I have been to both. The one you are talking about has his tour bus inside. But, the original is in downtown nashville.

  • hehe.................. I had no idea that there were two locations! Thanks 'thechampishere99' for letting me know that! Clears up everything for me.

I love to go to the midnight jamborees but it's hard for me to stay up that late too especially before work.

  • @Benedizione no problem. Most people don't know there are 2 locations. Hooray for Nashville!

  • wow i heard of this store i need to go there thanks for posting....

  • been there many time but it is gone now. no more music roe it was all tore down not long after the tornado.they made a song about it called there has been a murder on music roe and was wrote and sung by larry cordle.george straight and allen jackson has allso recorded it.

  • Seriously? what are the deatils about that.

  • THanks for this piece. I'll go here the next time I'm in Nash Vegas!

  • Been by there many times. Grew up listening to country music out of Nashville. Visited there many times. Great video. :)
