I'm not sure you can really say that 7 is the threshold for meningitis. a small child is going to say that the pain is excrutiating. If a child stubs their toe, their likely to say its at least an 8. remember, pain is subjectiver!
It's all in humor XD, especially "the meningitis patient is usually confused and ignorant and can't be trusted." LOL! That's why all questions asked are part of the S (subjective) in SOAP. Good point :)
want to hear something really funny...i had these really weird symptoms, typical meningitis symptoms..headache,stiff neck,rash,nausea,fever,fear of sound,insomnia,extreme panic. so i went to the emergency room and the doctor said i have generalized anxiety, i have never had those symptoms in my whole life, anyways he gives me a prescription for time release zombie pills, and bills me for a couple thousand dollars.
Never knew testing for meningitis was so gay...
