Reminds me of an episode of Hogan's Heroes when a live Allied bomb fell into the middle of Stalag 13 and Hogan's men had to disarm it. At the end of the harrowing process, they had to decide between one of two wires to cut. Cut the wrong one, and ker-plow! How did they decide which to cut? Hogan asked Klink, and whichever wire Klink picked would be the wrong one.
