I am only 19 and I know quite a bit about our country and politics in general. I strongly disagree about raising the voting age, HOWEVER, There SHOULD be a qualifying test. How can people simply sign a piece of paper and have the authority to decide the direction of their county (IE Vote for the president) but have to take not only a written test but a "physical" test of their skill to drive a vehicle.
Honestly, its scary how uninformed our voters are. It makes me happy that our voter turn out every year is so low. Maybe we should work on educating our voting base BEFORE we enlist them into the ranks.

Just do a basic google search of "Daily Show more informed" without the quotes. Most of the top results refer to a Pew Poll. CNN (the second result) goes on to mention Daily Show viewers are 78% more likely to have 4 years of college education than the average adult.

I am only 19 and I know quite a bit about our country and politics in general. I strongly disagree about raising the voting age, HOWEVER, There SHOULD be a qualifying test. How can people simply sign a piece of paper and have the authority to decide the direction of their county (IE Vote for the president) but have to take not only a written test but a "physical" test of their skill to drive a vehicle.

Just do a basic google search of "Daily Show more informed" without the quotes. Most of the top results refer to a Pew Poll. CNN (the second result) goes on to mention Daily Show viewers are 78% more likely to have 4 years of college education than the average adult.

Also of note... There is a thing called video editing. Fox can cherry pick the results to make liberals look bad and conservatives look better. If you don't realize how conservatively biased Fox News is then you really need to expand your horizons.
I watch all kinds of different sources (Fox, CNN, Daily Show, and sometimes MSNBC). I know which way the stations lean, and I'm able to take both sides of the story (MSNBC vs. Fox) and make my own decisions instead of them making it for me.
