  • Now i have got this game!

  • Ah, remember this game, but never owned it.... It's been released in europe, but only in france, and in french?! dang, need to get the NTSC version of this!!

  • One of the playstation games I've purchased. I love it! I play it every now and then.

  • This game has caught my interest, definately will try to get it and Solatarobo when i have the chance.

  • Oh my goodness thank you! This game was a demo on a playstation disc I had when I was a kid. You only could play the part you showed and it was all in Japanese! Its bugged me forever wondering what the game was called and what they were saying, and now I know. Thanks a bunch!

  • OH THANK GOD. I'm so freaking excited---like others said, it was an import on a Jampack demo, so, I never knew the English version's name but my mother and I have been trying to find this game for freaking ever!

  • This game is my childhood. I'll never EVER forget how special this has been to me.

  • So glad you uploaded this. I remember this from a jampack. I never could find it in the video stores back in the day to rent it.

  • So many ps1 games are underrated... Seriously

  • HOLY SHIT. AFTER 7 YEARS OF TRYING TO FIND THIS GAME I FINALLY SEE IT.

CANT WAIT TO PLAY IT AGAIN. I NEVER FINISHED IT.

    /excitement

But seriously, it has been SO long. After fruitless searching for all these years i was starting to give up.

  • i dont know why but i loved the way the cat says nanana or something like that at 00:13 .

    :3

  • Wait a minute... I recognize this game. I played it on a demo disc I got when I ordered from Pizza Hut. It was in the import section of it. How the hell did I not find this when it came out?

  • Damn i miss this game : (

  • nostalgiaaaa

  • I like this game a lot, I used to play this on my ps1. I too think this game is greatly underappreciated, gaming sites gave this a mediocre review, although I think this game deserves an 85-90% rating.

  • Thanks to solatorobo, I'm trying to hunt this game down online. It may be underratted but it can be expensive as fuck.

  • Solatorobo is freakin awesome! Thanks to its first game Tail Concerto

  • Never heard of this game till solatorobo came out.

  • YES!!! i played this game on a demo disk as a kid and had it in my memories but never knew the name. im so glad i can go back and actually play throught. 2dgamer your the fucking man

  • I played the Japanese version of this game on a demo CD a long time ago. I can't believe it was translated!!!

  • ahh memories, 1st game i played in ps1 is this

  • Solatorobo: Red the Hunter is coming out for the DS and is essentially a sequel to this I heard. I never played this, but I am definitely intrigued.

  • Bien dicen que Solatoboro es el sucesor espiritual de este juego, y valla que se parece, lastima que no lo he podido jugar.

  • like if solatorobo brought you here

or like if you find that solatorobo had the MML feel before even knowing tail concerto. :)

  • @leerz25

Tail concerto brought me to solatorobo.

  • For all of you that enjoyed this game back in the 90s,there's a spiritual sucessor on the DS called SOLATOROBO: Red the hunt, and it's coming to America this fall thanks to Xseed! It looks beautiful and truth to the original. Consider buying it and supporting it, to honor Tail Concerto :)

    I'm buying it for sure!

  • i must have got this game when i was at least 7-8 it defiantly deserved a sequel.

  • So...you play as a furry pedophile who goes around kidnapping kittens? Lol. I'm going to give it a shot, it reminds me of Megaman Legends/Tron Bonne with some weird bubble gun instead of a mega buster.

  • Yay! I"ve been searching for this game for almost a week now, and I finally found it! I loved playing this game as a kid.

  • its fun!

  • Lols. Kidnap children and destroy property, and then walk out with no witnesses.

  • I'm in the same boat as a lot of other people here. I played this game way back when I was a little kid on a demo disc, and for whatever reason it popped into my head today like a long-lost memory finally being found. Yay for the internets, it was simple to find by going to Youtube and looking through ps1 demo disc stuff. Now I finally know what the text means, at least. Funny how I figured things out anyway.

  • @voicetube Holy crap! You're Ari Ross! If you still can't remember who you voiced, it was Fool and The Chamberlain. Fool is an antagonist and The Chamberlain is a supervisor for Princess Terria.

  • @PyroFrost135 My "stupid" comment is thus removed:-)

  • Why did i have to sell this amazing game when i was little!! it makes me cry tears!

  • I finally found it! I remember when I was real little, this game was on a demo disk. I forgot the name, but somehow I found it. Thank you for the video.

  • Damn! This game looks crazy, downloading....

  • I have this game for the ps1.. I wonder how much its worth...

  • This boss battle music has been stuck in my head for over 10 years.

  • I also played this on the jampack diskten years ago!!! . One of my favourite demos of all time!!! If I can manage to find it, or play on an emulator, that`ll make my year... =)

  • I'm confused... Is this like, a furry's wet dream?

  • I REMEMBER PLAYING THIS AFTER SCHOOL EVERYDAY IN 1ST GRADE! FUCK NOSTALGIA LOL I WANNA PLAY THIS AGAIN LOL!!

  • Id kill for this

  • OMG I remember having that demo CD with this on it! I remember playing it over and over again, but getting frustrated at all the Japanese text and the fact that it was a one-way trip. You had to restart it at the end.

  • Niiiiiice. I played the shit out of a Japanese demo for this when I was a kid, but could never remember the name. I had the impression you were a mailman of some sort. The demo only covered this scene of the game. Glad to finally have a title, and now I'll have to check out some of your other "underrated gems." Thanks.

  • Instead of Mega Man Legends, this immediately sparked a 'Tron Bonne' thought into my brain. Is this very similar to that?

  • @gamerdude122 It's more of a platformer whereas Tron Bonne has a mixture of elements of games, but similar in some ways I guess.

  • Reminds me of Ape Escape. o.o

  • meow! meow! WAIITTT oohhh nostalgia :D

  • Check out the sequel to this game Solatorobo Preview available on my channel

  • That game is the game that got me addicted to videogames in the first place, i love it! If only my PS1 hadnt broken 5 times...

  • @kingpie1012 why dont u get it on a rom and play it on a emulator?

  • you really took it to those... kittehs...

  • Great news for people who liked this game. There's a game on the ds that is released not too long ago in Japan called "solatorobo" which is the spiritual successor of this game. Bad news is though that the release in America/Europe will be 50/50, although before the release of this game there was a trailer in which the characters spoke French. So you have to be patient to see if it hits America or not.

  • @shadowmanwkp Even better news, CC2 is making a new game to celebrate their 15th anniversary called Strelka Stories. They say it's a game aimed at "adults who were once youths". Basically a thank you to everyone who enjoyed their games back in the PS1 era, especially Tail Concerto.

Nice concept art in the teaser site too.

  • Is this a light gun game? Thank you.

  • @Serkin76 No. It's a platformer.

  • @teh2Dgamer Thank you very much.

  • @Serkin76 Well personally I really like Vampire Night (PS2) and Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 (360, PS3, Wii, etc). I figure it's unlikely that you've heard of Vampire Night; it's an arcade port, and I feel they did a great job. You should look into it.

  • @Serkin76 Here's a decent list if you haven't checked wiki yet en(dot)wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/List_of_light_gun_games

(personally I really enjoyed a lil gem called Vampire Night for PS2)

  • lol I still have this game. It was a really good game. I wish they had made it much longer though. Any hardcore gamer could beat half the game in less than 3 hours. But I very much enjoy it

  • OMG this is sooo kawaii =^____^=

  • lolol this game looks retardedly fun time to go stalk down ebay

  • I've been playing through this game lately, I can't believe I never heard of it before! Great art and animation, but it also has great control for a playstation-era game. Like many games of it's time it has camera issues but I can overlook those for the overall experience. I never knew kittens were so destructive!

  • i for real used to play a japanese demo of this all the time and never knew wat it was called ... sooo good

  • Yeah, I do remember playing this game as an import on one of the Jampacks. That reminds me though, there's another game I remember from one of those Jampack import demos and I've been trying to find out what it was for a long time now. It was something like you play as a ball and you try to knock the other player off the ring, sort of like Beyblades if you're familiar with it. Anyway, just wondering if you know what I'm talking about.

  • @snomeister I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but I know which one you're talking about. As far as I know it never came to the States. Granted it could have been a budget title released near the end, but it looks like it's just import only.

  • LOL W affle

  • This brings back memories, a really good game this was(lolwut yoda). i'd love a remake for this game :O

  • this game is... cute :3

  • i wish i could play this game back at the time i always see it at games stores but never bother getting it but when i heard about how cool it was the game have disappeard from the games storeg i only play the demo version.

  • i remember playing the japanese import demo and wanting the game so bad, then my mom and dad found it at toys r us, and i was so happy.

im proud to say i still have this game in working condition

  • They should put this in the PSN store.

  • This is a rip off of Megaman Legends. -_-

  • @aaronaspirt How so. This is a plaformer, MM legends was more of an adventure game similar to a Zelda. The art styles are similar, but it's actually a fairly typical anime art style. Either way, this and MM Legends are great must-haves for the PS1 IMO.

  • @aaronaspirt : megaman legends fuckin sucks anyway

  • @512thc FOOOOOOOOL

  • @CaptainFussenpepper: FAAAAAAAAG

  • i had this so long ago... brings back so many memories, wow i miss my childhood.

  • i loved the fuck out of this game. brings back memories.....

  • brings back memories...

  • I REMEMBER THIS I had the japanese demo export in my PS1 underground jampack

  • Love this game- I had the Japanese version - didn't know what was going on-

  • I love Megaman Legends graphics. It's somehow... beautiful in it's own textures.

  • EVIL CATS! MEOW.

  • The kittens in this game had me saying "yeah!" and "here we go!" all the time. xD

  • I had a copy of this which was bought from russia, but it was in japanese. I hadn't a clue what was going on, but it was fun to play.

  • sweet i will give this a shot i love games like this!

  • KITTIES!!!!

  • It's too bad Sony has thought of making this game available via a download service. Then again I wish all video consoles made their older and good games available via a download service because I hate buying used CDs. The used CDs are usually in terrible condition.

My motto is to always buy a brand new disc and never get a used one.

  • @queenledan Absolutely with ya there.

  • @queenledan Roms. 'Nuff said.

  • I love this game too. It's my most favorite. When I first bought this game from an online store I was thrilled when I received it in the mail. I played this game mostly for it's rich animation and characters.

  • I actually own a copy of this. Never knew how rare this game was until now.

  • I don't know if it's rare, but it's definitely underrated.

  • i still got the demo along with tomba

  • I thought this game looked cute but I feel bad for the poor kitties. Still I might get this game. X3

  • how's the challenge level in the game?

  • Not very challenging to beat, but to 100% it? Good luck.

  • sort of like an ape escape feel to it :)

  • I spent a year trying to remember the title of this game... hahaha

  • omg...me too XD i was searching everywhere for it haha

  • I borrowed this from a friend, and yeah, it was so fucking addicting. I loved it. Incredible game, very underrated

  • Didn't Alicia's voice actress also do BlackRose from .hack?

  • @SpazzFurry

    Nope. She voiced Mimiru.

  • @POLE7645 GAH, Thanks. That's what I meant. -bad at VA identification and differentiating between two extremely similar looking characters-

  • I got this game months ago because I kept on seeing it and my curiousity finally made me buy it. I like games like this: it's cute, colorful and fun to play. And as you said... it's very addicting.

  • Don't let it's cutesy appearance fool you?

I love games with a charming look to them!

The grimmy and dark look of lots of games tends to get boring

  • I've been looking for the name of this game for soooo long. This was a great import on the PS1 jampack and am still looking for it.

  • i had that demo of this game but in japanese it was so cool i always wished i knew what it was called now i do it's so cool i currently bought it ^_^

  • Hah!! When I was younger, this was included on a demo disc. It was a "Japanese import game". I had no idea what was going on or what they were saying, but I think I played that demo like... every day. This game is awesome. :D

  • WOW! I loved this game when I played it as a demo! Thanks for bringing back good memories from when I just started playing video games as a kid!

  • Just buyed my copy :)

  • Who was this made by? It seems very unique, I'd expect something like this from Treasure, lol. Especially with the bombs, it reminds me of the bombs you could throw back at enemies in Gunstar Heroes.

Also, the voice acting is hilariously bad, lol. Don't worry, I happen to enjoy the occasional bad voice acting. It's always good for a laugh.

"HEEEEEEEEEY! You idiot, you got chocolate all over the crystaaal!"

  • According to Gamefaqs, it was made by a company called CyberConnect2.

It was published by Atlus, who are masters at localizing the obscure quirky Japanese games.

  • Gotta love those obscure Japanese games! I really want to play Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga, but Ikaruga is so rare on the gamecube there's not much chance of me finding it. I found Space Channel 5 Special Edition yesterday though, GREAT find I've gotta say, the game is good fun. I'm also looking for God Hand, Stretch Panic, and a few other obscurities. I've been checking your videos for other cool games, Sky Gunner looked like a lot of fun to play.

  • @teh2Dgamer atlus the demon soul guys also persona right ?

  • @teh2Dgamer cyber connect2 is still living today they are the one who made hack gu series on the ps2.

  • @teh2Dgamer CyberConnect2 now make most of BandaiNamco's game based of anime,

  • ahh, I loved this game

  • Poor kittens *__*

  • This game proves that kittens are evil. Their evil schemes must be stopped.
