swype works well on the HTC HD2. if you watch the phonedog HD2 review he has trouble using the onscreen keyboard. i had the same problem until i accidently discovered the swype feature.

I think they made the tutorial confusing by introducing two concepts at the same time - the fact that you have to TAP in a new word so that Swype can learn it, and the fact that you hold down a tap to get a numeral.

I guess phoneboy missed the first part of that in the limited time he had to run through the tutorial.

And yeah, there's no need to press Space between words.

It's an interesting solution for resistive screens. I had the unlocked Omnia 2 in the UK without this system, and texting was very frustrating compared to devices such as the Hero, iPhone or even the HD2 (although I found that one a little too sensitive). It seems that this Swype system COULD be a little bit cludgy and awkward though when out and about....particularly since the Omnia 2 screen is not great in bright sunshine
