I like your voice very much, but maybe you should try not to sing from your throat but from your diaphragm, not only because your voice will have much more strength, but because doing it the way you're doing it will sooner or later hurt your vocal cords. A few singing lessons should help you to improve that. I also noticed that in some parts you sing with a nasal voice.

Anyways, I see you have potential; with more practice you'll be simply great :D

You say that the high notes were a bit meh.. but your singing it to suit your voice not to match sierra. There is nothing wrong with turning someone else's song into your own. Sing to your capabilities not to another singers. That being said you have a very good voice!

and to get this song without sierra's vocals, i had to make it myself. i took the acoustic version of you'll never know (it's a bonus track on fixed at zero) and imported it to this free audio editor called audacity. once it was imported, i split the stereo tracks, set both tracks to mono, selected the first track, and put on it the 'invert' effect. this turns the MP3 into an instrumental, it almost completely takes out the vocals.
