yeah i had this phone for about a year, started to hate windows mobile 6.0 and 6.1. went to verizon store and got my blackberry pearl flip... AWESOME except the gps. but recently reactivated this phone (mine was the htc touch from alltel, before they merged) to fool with the winmo 6.5 roms, and also ANDROID runs pretty well on it. a few kinks, but nothing that won't get ironed out soon. give it a try especially if you can find a cheap-o on the internet!
oh, thanks for the video. would you recomend this pnone?? because its so cheap from verizon ( for 2year contract.) can u get on youtube?? and other internet websites??
this phones text is same as any other touch texting to put in perspective it takes bout 3 days to catch onto a button phone to text for a touch it might takeu maybe a whole week to get use to the texting
i have a problem, i had this phone for 2 mouths now and im still struggling with the outbox part, everytime i send a message i want to see what i send, but when i go to my outbox its not there. how do i view my sent messages?
No. I bought one recently. The guy at the verizon store said i will need to get onto the internet to see the weather. If you don't have the data plan, it costs $15 per megabyte uploaded from the internet. Don't use the weather if you don't have the data plan
Yeah I just bought mine also. The phone is very cool, but definitely has some downfalls. I have noticed for one, that you can never make a call while driving unless you've programed your top 9 contacts. You really have to sit down and play with the phone intimately to enjoy it. It was a little limited on the alarm settings, but overall the camera and video features have been fun. I'm still getting the quirks out myself. Would be nice if the weather came free though!
ive had the xv6800 for the past year and just got the xv6900. honestly it all depends on size and full touch vs. slide out keyboard. i have had many problems with the xv6800 screen and warranty issues. i cant fully explain both phones on here but i can answer any of your questions.
Ive had the same 6900 since Ive gotten the phone (by this time with the 6800 i would have had 2). with only a keyboard app (which i dont even use) the phone hasnt even had any software added and it has had absolutely no problems. Its dinged up from 4 months of usage and dropping but its still working like new. Great phone overall
im think about getting this phone and i cant add apps and software. and i dont use my phone like 24/7 i use it when i get texts i mean like i uhse my phone everyday like for alarms and notes. but im not allowed internet
I used to add apps and software and all that junk and it just slowed my phone down like crazy so i keep is app free. i use my phone 24/7 for everything and it works perfectly. i do have internet but i didnt for the first few months and I managed without it.
on verizon, you do only for the models that came out starting 2009. the palm centro, htc 6900 & previous, & Motorola Q/Q9 series you can block or pay as you go, no forced monthly plan.
the dare doesnt require a daa plan. and the pay per kb is nice for people like me who do not use the internet often. but, this option is only available when u order the phone online. if u buy it at the verizon store the require u to sign up for the 29.99 data plan
this phone is tight. the texting on the phone is nice. you can use the transcriber to write out the message on the screen. touch screen is nice. it can be hard to select things sometimes. but ya its cool
yo man, if you going to show everyone this phone you should atleast show everyone what the texting is like on this phone, all the other guys that have phone reviews about phone show how to text. you dont show nothin. make a new video about texting
definately the xv6900! the lg dare is very boring and expensive. I had an lg dare for about 3 months, but i hated the web browser and the on screen keyboard, so i switched.
This is the best phone verizon offers. It's incredible. Better than the voyager or anything else. After a couple days, I'm in love. This phone is efficient, easy to use, and has many programs.
how the hec do I transfer my pictures from my device onto the microsd card . there are no save to card options wtf

Verizon is a completely stupid organization. NO wifi, and still only a 2.0 pixel camera??? They are truly dumb ass. What a shame and disappointment.

if this or the omnia cost money monthly, then im gonna get the dare. people who have this, does it cost money monthly for internet?
ardard218 2 years ago
I just bought it, you can choose the pay per kb option. You CANNOT pick that option for the Omnia. And the dare I believe has a monthly cost too.
