@that1dude400 [!!SPOILER ALERT!!] well that mercenary dude isnt really dead... he's literally inside seras as a familar and he appears in ova 10 to support seras in her fight against the captain. he still retains his memories and personality, just that he is kinda immortal now, and can stick with seras forever.
