These guys rule. I am an American, but I agree. For the most part, American music/metal sucks bad. I got so fed up with it I decided to go to Finland for better music, because it seems to be a metal factory over there! Sure we have a few good bands here, but Finland never ceases to amaze me. I think I like Finnish metal over any other metal in the world!

I mean, i've heard finish metal that sucks. I've heard finish metal that's amazing, i've heard American metal that blows(Metallica) but i've heard amazing american metal.

Nationality has nothing to deal with it, yeah there tend to be a higher frequency of awesome metal bands that come out of Scandinavia and Germany, but that doesn't mean awesome metal can't come out of anywhere else.

The US started all the famous mainstream shit but Germany started all the good stuff in thrash metal.

Helloween and Blind Guardian, two of the most influential power metal bands EVER both started with the intent of being THRASH metal

Listen to Lucifer's Heritage's(Blind Guardian's original name) version of Battalions Of Fear or Helloween's debut album Walls Of Jericho.
