  • I love this movie but.....the book is SO much better. in fact, they are so different that it's hard to watch the movie and not pick out all the differences. plus the book is more historically accurate

  • I wonder if somebody tell me what is the theme song of this trailer?????

  • @elektrawoldemord18 the beginning is "here comes the king", the end i don't know

  • My mom remarked when we watched the movie how it was funny that he married the woman who couldn't produce a heir but got rid of the sister who gave him a son and if the historians are correct a daughter who was just assumed to be Mary's husband's. It's messed up how the uncle ruled the family when the father should have stood up for his daughters. And anyway it was Henry's fault. He had a son named Fritzroy "son of the king" who was a bastard, died at 16. He's son Edward, died at 16. A curseX_X

  • I love this movie. Anne Boleyn is actually a form of a hero for me. Her intimadation on the monarch with such grace and wits was brillant. The only reason she was killed is because she made a mistake after the intense stress of many male miscarriages.

  • Me and my mum watched this movie and every 5 minutes we had to pause it to complain about how the women were treated.

  • the main voice is NOT in this movie! gah

  • Natalie Portman is too sweet to play Anne Boelyn, Natalie Dormer in the Tudors is a far better choice. x

  • this this really happen? or is this just hollywood wanting to mess with history again? nothing wrong with that, as it good to imagine but, just saying :)

  • @JessicaLouiseMusic They're playing with it.

  • I love this movie it is such a good movie the storyline was spentacular i love and enjoyed evey mintue of it and i love how it leads to queen elizbeth, in the end i aslo have that movie queen elizabeth. I would definitely recommend this movie to anyone who love midevil movies.

  • why was this one the only movie where there makeup and hair wasn't done all up.. like the other period films... thought they looked very plain... but he movie was awesome.

  • She wore the pearl b necklace like Betty from Ugly Betty

  • @ARH09 vise-versa

  • LOOKS REALLY GOOD.

  • OH MY GOD ERIC BANA *.*

  • This movie is terrible.

  • How come King Henry looked so hot in this movie? what happened to his fats? LOL

  • @gee3x It wasn't till much later that he got fat and ugly. Henry was the younger of two brothers, and he was the merrier and better looking of them, he was quiet the catch. But then it caught up with him around the third or fourth wife, I think.

  • @paganistic Oh i see =) Thanks for the info!

  • @gee3x actually he was very athletic in young age he got fat when he was older

  • I love this movie, its one of mine and my mums all time favourites..

Just one question what music is playing from 1:41 onwards?

  • @RaizerKnight It's a piece called 'Here comes the King'. Not sure by who, sorry :)

  • @paganistic

    X-Ray Dog.

  • good one!

  • love this trailer <3

  • whats the soundtrack at 0:30 ?

  • @Fafalina500 Here comes the king -X Ray Dog

  • This movie was entertaining, but I do like the book a lot more, I think that the book explored the motives of the characters and their feeling in more depth than the movie did, and not to mention, even with its historical inaccuracies I do prefer the Tudors over this movie, lol.

  • I see everyone is saying "I prefer the book, more emotion, in the movie some parts from the book were not added "... of course you do... actualy I never heard someone saying "I prefer the movie"..... :D

  • i like the host club one better

  • One of the most inaccurate films.

I belive it would have been fantastic, if there was some truth to it.

Anne, followed the rules. Mary, did not follow the rules. They also only showed fall of Anne, she also had a powerful rise.

  • what is the name oof the song of the trailer ???

  • @vanpichocohq Here comes the king - X ray dog

  • I like the book much than the movie, but it was still good. Though some parts of the trailer were not in the movie like when she tried to convince him he was a "great man"

  • Eric Bana is the only man in the world who could pull off that hat....

  • This looks WEIRD...

  • Good book but the movie was just okay, not great but not awful. Worth a check though. 3/5

  • I didn't have very high expectations of this movie when I initially started watching it. It was slow at first but then the struggle got very interesting and I couldn't stop watching. After it was over, I just kept replaying the movie over and over in my head. And here I am, looking up the trailer for it. haha It's safe to say that I thought it was a great movie. 4 out of 5 stars.

  • this looks... amazing~

i never heard of this movie but i really want to watch it now :D

  • @serenity255 The movie is really really good....

  • 1:29 was the best quote from the book!

  • I love this movie.

  • awesome movie and epic trailer! it's one of the best trailers I've seen so far :)

  • i fucking hate natalie portman as anne.

  • Who's dubbing Thomas Boleyn? cuz that aint his voice

  • i LOVE the book

  • i am reading the book. its awesome. !!!!!!!!!

  • I would really, really recommend the book (by Philippa Gregory) to anyone who is interested- it is a thousand times better than the movie. It's one of my absolute favorite books, and I've read it so many times it's practically falling apart. That said, I found the movie to be a big disappointment. It wasn't just the little changes that bothered me, but I felt like they changed the whole feel of the story. Although by itself it was a passable movie, it cannot hold a candle to the book.

  • one possible reason why king henry could hardly have children with anne boleyn was because he slept with her sister, kindof goes against their beliefs about marrying siblings cant children... Maybe henry should have thought things through before he took anne as his wife rather then behead her. Oh well hes dead

  • I thought Mary had the king first, then Anne was given the chance to have and marry him? In this trailer it seems the opposite.

  • @bethyy92 Originally their family planned for Anne to be with him, but he liked Mary and ended up pursuing her. (He was never really with Anne at that point, it was really just more of a suggestion.) Then after Mary had been his mistress for a few years, Anne started going after him, and he ends up dropping Mary for Anne. So you're right, Mary was with him first, and this trailer is pretty misleading.

  • Please, can you help me? I am french and my english is very poor, but i am addicted to this trailer. Could you help me to traduct it? Because the french trailer is cut in several part, I dont understand all. In particulary this sentence from Anne boleyn when her sister say: I don't betray you, you do know that! Anne says, well I know...I cant finish this sentence. Thanks for your help.

  • Elle lui dit, "All I know is that a man

that didn't know who you were was with you in that room for half an hour and came out besotted"

Je comprend "And therefore born to be..." il me manque le mot de la fin.

  • @paupog - en anglais, c'est "rivals" , mais je ne sais pas le mot en francais.

  • @101Tonia101 merci :) (c'est comme en anglais, ça veut dire rivales)

  • I am reading the book now and I am amazed at how much the movie has gone away from the story

    x

  • Love the story of Anne Boleyn, even though I did not study it (I am not British)....I became fascinated with The Tudors..

In my opinion...Natalie Dormer played the best Anne Boleyn possible!!! She gave her that "humanity" (like she herself puts it in one interview), that cruelty and innocence....really loved Dormer as Anne!

  • @alexsanne me2! she is awesome! she just has the pefect "personality" for it. i cant rly describe it. another great movie is Anne of a thousand days. thats #2 for the best Anne. this, sadly, is #3.

  • this is so different from the reality

  • the Boleyn girls were British not freakin American.

  • @KPODIK well they were english then there was no britain

  • loved the movie, but i love the book even more, highly recommend to see the movie and read the book

  • Can someone please tell me what the music is at 1:57.

  • diem ex dei. it took me forever to find it until i found it accidentally

  • OMG thank you so much, I've been trying to find that song ever since I heard it on a Spiderman 3 commercial lol.

  • ohh thnks!

  • I loved the movie it was great, I highly recommend it for everyone.. It is a must see..Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman and Eric Bana is a very powerful trio here.. The emotions the movie gives you is great.. At a point you hate ie Anne Boleyn, next moment you love her.. But I have to say Natalie Portman's acting was mind blowing in this movie, she really was great..

And for Anne Boleyn incest bit, if she really is ambitious and cold as facts show her to be then she may have done it?

  • I can't believe Henry would be so LOW as to publically cheat on his wife, then cheat with his girlfriend's sister.

  • @thtktgrl It was the culture of the time.. An English king was expected to have mistress(es), being in that high rank of power. His wife knew, the country knew, so he wasn't really being a "dirtbag" according to the culture of the times.

  • eric bana is just too hot in this movie

  • @joliebunny88 Agreed, I'm not so much of a Eric Bana fan but here he's hott

  • this movie is....AWESOME!!!! seriously one of my favoritesss

  • It's funny how Mary is so innocent and sweet in The Other Boleyn Girl, while most historians say that she was more like a whore...

  • @ImperfectDream TRUE. Mary was supposedly licentious and loose in real life. I thought it was kind of messed up how the filmmakers in this movie made Mary the "perfect good girl" when historical facts show that she was actually more whorish than Anne.

  • mary was wore promiscous?! I didn't know that!

  • she was you can look her up on wikipedia and it has the facts

  • Actually, the book made Mary "the perfect good girl", the movie just followed this HUGE mistake ! But I agree that it was messed up

  • I love this movie. I hope the movie is right and they never "did" something together (George and Anne) That would be siiick . hah (: its stinks what happens to them. :/

  • i love the music what song is it xD

  • @Juniorjosse "Here comes the king" from the Chronicals of Narnia

  • i think this is one of those underrated movies. if i'd be ask, i'll it's an Oscar-worthy film. the acting was very good. and it really captured me..

  • both ways huh henry???

  • it sucks that anne dies in the end but I think it was one of the best scenes in the movie, right before she dies.

I love Natalie Portman as Anne and I love their mother. Such a strong women's roll

  • stupid spoiler, wy did you have to write for everybody how the movie ends?????

  • well duh anne dies! what did you think was going to happen? henry decides not to kill anne and they all live happily ever after in a castle? good lord some people are dumb

  • @lilly1087 eehhm.. I just guessed everyone knew the story. Since this is a real historical event and it happend irl. That's like being mad for someone telling you: "Yeah and you know Titanic? In the movie, the ship sinks and a bunch of people die" It's kinda common knowledge sweetie :)

  • I love the movie! Portman rocks ^^

I love Anne, she's cool. And Mary too. And George.

It sucks why Anne had to die

    ==

    but i'm glad mary lives

  • its sux what happend to her at the end

  • can someone tell me if Anne really got down with her brother? the movie says she didn't but who knows...

  • @oceansoul02 The book says they did, but history doesn't know.

  • i dont think she did .. they were only suspected of incest because they were so close

  • No one really knows, but she was actually beheaded for incest.

  • No, Anne didnt. because they can't do it

  • in the novel it is implied that she did, but most historians don't believe it actually happened

  • Filmed in Kent locations, among them Knole Castle

  • I loved the movie but I love the trailer even more

  • @Ecompass4 - I totally agree, and I'm not even sure why!

  • @101Tonia101 lol yea, its very powerful xD

  • I LOVED the book, and the movie was actually horrible in my opinion. But I still think while all this is going on, George was my fave character. ^^

  • The music in the last few seconds is from Battlestar Galactica isnt it?

  • I really love this movie!!! I've got it on dvd :D

  • ah kk thanks for tellin me ^^ its nice to know both sides of the arguement if the film was good or not. :)

  • Pirates of the carribean music?.... Or was it the Chronicles of Narnia?

  • Yip Narnia.

  • no it is x ray dog here comes the king

  • i LOVED this movie!!! the book was great and the movie was kinda different but otherwise awesome movie and truly amazing book....

i was twelve when i read this book and i found it amazing :)

i really dont like henry at all but in the movie, he was cool though except for that whole "will you give yourself to me now?" thing he had going on??

But did mary really take elizabeth in real life??? because it was never mentioned in the book.. she just left with catherine and standford....

  • No, she didn't. Elizabeth really grew up in the royal palace as well, just like her sister Mary, but she was "forgotten". Hope that helps. :) And i know, I love the book and movie too, lol! It rocks. :P

  • I really want to see this film

  • w8 wat was rong with it cuz i read the book and I want to see the film...?

  • omg i luved the book but its sorta different from the movie

  • Was an interesting movie. Two sisters: one was innocent & the other one was a schemerwho would do anything to get what she wants. It was intriguing to see how the movie unfolded as both sisters fought for King Henry's affection.

King Henry's affections indeed...he changes women like a newborn changes it's diapers.Everything is all good until his mistress gets pregnant or doesn't birth him a son...very hard man to please

  • i watched this but in the buffy style and i wish the buffy cast was in this but this does look good too =D lol i might buy it if its cheep =D

  • Man I tried to read this book but my mum won't let me.She says it's not the kink of book a girl my age should be reading but I think it is. grrr it really makes me mad!

  • wait so who is anne of boleyn? who starred as anne boleyn that was henry's wife?

  • @Strawb3rrymilkshak3 Natalie Portman

  • I love the trailer but not the movie.

    N I love NATALIE PORTMAN!

  • AAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNN!

  • I love Nat, but this movie was so horrible, did no justic at all!!!. but I love the music, but this is just a shame on History!

  • what is the name of the song at 0:20?? need to know

  • I'm pretty sure it's "Here comes the king" by X-Ray Dog

  • well how old r u????? 13? 11?

  • i've always been confused around Henry's wives.

Anne is portrayed as a victim (which she could be); but i can't help but feel like the only victim here is Catherine of Aragon. I don't know much, but I do feel like she was the main victim of all of this.

  • You are most right on this, The real victim in all of this was Catherine Of Aragon, she was treated harshly after she failed to give Henry a Son, and it did not help any that Anne was there to confort him, what they fail to mention, is that Anne had a hatered for Cat and her daughter marry, that she wanted them dead, Cat was faithful through out her marraige to Henry, it was a shame that he was such a manwhore!!.

  • Love love this movie. Great cast too.

  • we're watching this in history, and i loveeee it. it's soo good.

  • Other Mcgrath Girl

    I'm evil like ANna

  • so am I.

mary is only 13 when the book begins and ann 15.

  • So am I!

But the book is so different from the movie

  • Can you please tell me the name of the book?

  • the other boleyn girl by philippa gregory

  • book is even better!

  • ahh my girlfriend told me to watch this movie with her, i thought it was good actually =)

  • ah, this trailer looks so good!

  • can some one tell me the soundtracks which are used in this trailer?? all of them please ! any one ?

  • I don't have one

    buy soundtrack on itune

  • the sound track is AwESOMNESS !! SCARLET JOHNSON u r the best !

  • Very, very good movie. I'd love to read the novel next. Definitely a must see. For those who love historical movies, etc. Based on a true story. It's intense. Can truly feel the emotions in this one.

  • I want to see this!

  • im reading the book and loving it! i wish to watch the movie soon!

  • Beautiful film

  • i really want to watch this movie.

i think i'm going to buy the DVD, i missed it when it came out in cinemas.

  • i though the book was okay, but the movie looks quite good! it'll be hard to get used to porman as anne instead of dormer, though, lol. can't wait to see it!

  • I love this film! :D

  • i love the tudors on tv,

    and i love this film

i love anne boleyn in general and whatever programme i watch of henry and his wive, annes excecution scene always gives me goose bumps XD

  • I read this book literally nonstop in 4 days-best book I had ever read (except harry potter and lord of the rings)

the movie was amazing too! but reaserch says that anne boelyn did not cry at her execution

  • I read the book after I watched the movie and it was amazing! I love this movie and the book is more of what really happened.

  • Me too ;D I read the book a couple of years ago and were so excited to see it ^^

  • i love this movie. isn't that the narnia theme song?

  • no the first song is Return of the King by X-Ray Dog that plays till 1:34. the second song is Lucius Dei by Immediate Music

  • it's here's come the king or the return of the king by immediate music

  • I agree completely.

This book was absolutely amazing- I could not put it down!

  • its fantastic! i really liked it

  • the book is much better..

  • i soo agree. bt they did sum justice on it

  • good movie. A-list cast. :)

  • eric bana makes a good king henry VIII:)

  • Does anyone know the name of the piece of music playing in the trailer??

    Love this movie!

  • It's called "Here comes the king" by X-Ray Dog

  • what about the second song, they are different

  • no its all one song last i checked...

but im no pro on x-ray dog so i cant be too sure

  • I'm planning on reading the book. Without any spoilers, can someone tell me their opinion on the book and whether I should read it or not? Would it be suitable because I'm going to do a kind of review on a page of it.

  • Comment removed

  • i read it after seeing the movie and thought it was great, normally it would take me FOREVER to read a sixhundered page book, but read other boleyn girl in a week and half! although u should know the book is alot different and portrays the charectors some in different ways; the movie is more of the essence of the book

  • This movie is really good... and, despite some minor things, the movie followed the book pretty accurately. I mean, the book is pretty long, so they had to combine and slightly exaggerate some stuff, but mostly it was for the good of the plot.

For example, in the book, Mary was meant to have the king completely in the beginning... Anne was just as ambitious and blunt as her uncle and father and even encouraged her sister through most of it.

  • the book is amazing so much better than the movie... the book is all marys point of view and her relationship with the king like about her whole life and experieces....the movie is mostley about anne and her becoming queen

  • The movie is good... but the book is way better!!!!!!

  • this is the original?

  • Man...Henry VIII was played! played like a fine tuned Fiddle, by Ann Boleyn. Hahahaha I loved Natalie Portman in this! I saw this movie as more of a Blonde verses Brunette thing lol
