  • Im a dancer did this same dance very different um but good job :)

  • @travisbreeding hey, be nice. My did worked her a** of for four years in that group and they're great

  • I've worked on this show. This number is so amazing. This arrangement is so bad.

  • Bravo Bravo!!! Loved it!

  • Wow this arrangment is so boring.

  • ok just saing if u havent already aditoned for disney u should my school is:}}

  • boye...amazing.

  • i love ui guys andy does ur show too! lol

  • hey sadie! its anthony, lol, yeah I know its so weird how it looks exactly like manchesters...very odd.

  • yeah, manchester has done many "recycled" andy haines tunes, however most of the stuff in their shows is original.

  • I don't think there was an original song in their 2007 show (perhaps the ballad)... In that year alone they recycled songs from Teays Valley, Strongsville, & Center Grove.

  • So did a choreographer named andy hanes do this show? Because our school did this exact same choreography, and he did it. Just wondering.

  • Yes Andy did choreograph this, and I honestly don't blame him. If someone gives him a song to choreograph that he already did, why waste time? Recycle! It's not like he's stealing. It's his work so he can do what he wants with it. So don't feel bad. I watched you guys at Manchester Competition and your Spring Concert. I'm in Thomas Dale's show choir, and I'm a huge fan of Capital Swing! :-D

  • basically, if you dont dance or sing you don't understand how hard it is. Im an elite dancer and getting all 20 of us to be together in on a small stage is diffucult then you add in singing and afterwards its pass out city. Theya re on risers and hello thats not exactly easy to dance on...

    so before contradiciting, try experimenting

  • BRAVO!!!... What a fantastic rendition of this great song!

  • wow. i wish i couldve seen this.. its awesome. and i LOVE the song

  • if you actually saw it live you would disagree.

they worked on this song A LOT.

  • honestly its just not very good. plus when the audience can get up and do it withthe group because we've seen it so many times by other groups, it really takes something away from their performance. sorry, its really not complicated, rather sloppy, and WAY tired. just my opinion

  • unles you can watch this show and do the tap perfectly...shut up, these kids worked their freaking butts off on this song, it looked really good live...i have been a dancer since the year before preschool and i would have to spend a fair amount of time learning this tap, and tap is the type of dance im best at....so actyally no, the audiance couldnt do wings....timesteps...ect. just by watching it

  • ok so i was an 8th grader last year when this happened but my sister was in the girls group ad her bf was one of the tappers...at cg not all of the performers wear taps...no one on the risers wear taps...and sometimes not everyone on the floor does eaither....and thanks to the people that like cg...

  • I know that only a few can wear taps, and I love CG folk, but I think that as far as this tap number goes, it seems pretty simple. There aren't any "tap" moves here. It basically is jogging in place a lot, but since it's fast it seems impressive. Sorry if I sound rude! I love CG!

  • well...lets look at the wings...a tap move..flaps...another tap move....time steps....there's def. tapping in here. PPl need to back off :)

  • joggibg in place? try running flaps....and they do alot of time steps that they made tight and they did wings which are reallyhard to do...i have been dancing for 12 years now (everything til i was 12 then some jazz and cheerleading and then two years of tap) but i sometimes cant get all of my sounds when i do wings...wings are really hard...

  • Is it flaps or falaps? Haha, I've only tapped one year in show choir (we actually competed against eachother at this competition, I was from La Crosse). As you can tell, my vocabulary in tap isn't the best. I think CG taps just fine though, it's fairly clean as far as tap goes...you can't get a lot cleaner than that with 30+ people on stage!!

  • Oh, and here is a little tidbit for you, on the cast of 42nd street, there are only a few select people who actually have metal on their feet. Their shoes have mics. Juuuust so you know :)

  • 2) Any and all vocal and band sound is going to be drowned out by the clack clack clacking of taps, and 3) even if sound wasn't a factor, there simply isn't enough time to CLEAN 80 pairs of taps so that the sound is crisp and together. So, before you start making cracks about wanting to see "a tap dance video where i can see the pretty metal dance taps on there shoes while performing tap", make sure you have all of your facts straight.

  • Let's think about this, would you want to sit in an audience and attempt to hear a group of approx 40..give or take...singer dancers (that's 80 pieces of metal)tap? No. Why? One,You're ears are going to kill. When placing metal on the risers, the sound is amplified, and since 2/3's of the group is placed on risers, it would be murder to your ears,

  • Ahem, can I just say that, even tho you can't SEE the taps, clearly you can HEAR them. In show choir, you cannot have an entire stage filled with tap shoes. While yes, everyone technically is tapping, having everyone with the actual metal on their feet, would be a disaster. 1) It would be way too loud. 2) The tapping would not be clean.

  • This is going to be a few comments long soo...

  • wow, some people that don't actually hate our school. what a nice change.

  • lol amen

  • that was amazing. your singing is unbelievable! it's so awsome that you can dance like that and sing like that. great job

  • please show me a tap dance video where i can see the pretty metal dance taps on there shoes while performing tap

  • are you suggesting that we don't really tap?

  • for real...i've seen the baskets full of tap shoes in CG's homeroom before. they're tapping. they're that good.

  • i gaurentee that they actually tapped. Trust me Center grove is so talented and spend hours practicing. i would know cause even in middle school they are crazy good

  • they really tap. i swear. i've had to set up taps backstage for people. dont be a jerk.
