  • I hate how I like Yann Tiersen's songs, but I can't understand the titles... I find that to be pretty sad of myself... I need language classes. Seriously.

  • @Beachx03 They all have beautiful titles :) this one is called the Monsters Waltz <3

  • Immagino di essere a Parigi........quanto è evocativa questa musica!!!Splendida!!

  • this one is my favourite

  • Im odd, I dont think the accordian or the bagpipes are annoying, I like them, and im asian-american...

  • amazing song. thx to yann tiersen

  • when hearing this music i just love being good at accordeon ;) go home made music!!! never as good as this though

  • @AppleOfInternalHappy I love accordeon misic, maybe you can upload something of your own?

  • Je ne sais quoi pour cette musique

  • I heard a music like this in Sims 1: Making Magic.

This is the kind of music I love most. They're....I don't have words to describe the wonderfull feeling they leave in me.

  • I'm starting to realize that the accordian can sound just as powerful and as lovely as a violin.

  • This has that magical feeling of the old travelling fairs!! ...jugglers and acrobats...

  • If I heard someone playing like this in Paris, or WHEREVER - even in my boring town centre in england, my God, I would never leave. <3

  • If you don't think this is good music, then you don't deserve to have ears.

  • Can somebody give me tips of similar music that is typical for Paris?

I was in Paris 2 weeks ago and its the most beautiful town I've ever been in! I especially enjoyed Monmartre when it was raining.

  • this reminds me of guyz who play in Paris metro station ..... its so beautiful....

  • Superb

  • THIS GETS ME NERVOUS !!

  • This song is awesome. If France could be summed up into one song this would be it.

  • @H0tkebab Correction: If THE HIGH-CLASS DISTRICTS OF PARIS could be summed up, etc etc.

    :3

  • is this la valse des monstres (monsters) or montres (watches) ?

  • I want to walk down the French roads listening and dancing to this song, with some French wine and bread - perfection!!

  • flawless

  • I Love It!!

Thanx for making this beautiful music Yann Tiersen!!

  • C´est super!!!

  • Magnifique <3

  • that's music I hear when i go outside to buy a Baguette in Paris.

  • @extremesfeelingxD Oh no dear. When you go outside in Paris, you step on dog dirt, the baker who sells you the baguette doesn't even says "Hello", and in the street, stupid teenagers insult you while listening to rap "music". Yep. THIS IS FRANCE.

  • @PapercutChika .. not entirely true though.. depends on where you live! J'aime la France!

  • Again, another work of art from Mr Tiersen, where sadness intertwines with joy.

  • TRES BIEN DIT

  • accordion kinda music really make me feel as if i'm walking down the streets of Paris....heart it:)

  • I'd say french and indian movies are the best.

The have pure love, but in different forms!

American movies are about, violence, laughs, sex. Nothing romantic at all.

And English films, either theyre not around anymore, or its about how some gangster became powerful

Its a shame because England used to know comedy, It used to know romance.

  • nice comment , it is great to see that some people still apreciate something more than hollywood, universal and all those macro commercial firms :) by the way i'd like to add spanish cinema to that list due to the social messages they give, the problem is that most of them don't even cross the boundaries of language and remain for national public.

  • By the way, i visited london 2 weeks ago and i have to say that theatre remains wonderful and that masterpieces such as "3 days of rain " or "blood brothers" are every bit as good as any film so dont feel ashamed ;)

  • maybe you're just used to american cinema so much and so many movies are american cinema that it's easier to see something more pure in another outlet of cinema. if spain, france, or england for example produced a copious flurry of movies as did the US then you may see similar outcomes. just a thought...

  • Depends, would American movies still be the same?

Tbh, if i saw arty movies as much as american, knowing me, id still be into the arty ones.

  • i love english humor though

    its dry and freakin hilarious

  • Çok güzel bir şarkı.

  • This is actually "La Valse de Monstres" meaning "The Waltz of Monsters"... Whatever that's supposed to mean

  • ¬¬ it's MONTRES and it means watchs

  • Not according to the official soundtrack. It clearly calls the track (#20) "La Valse de Monstres."

  • m9ight hav ebeen a tiping mistake

  • Monstres doesn't mean watchs it means Monsters , easy translation...

  • Never have I seen a film where I gave so much attention to the music. Music somehow always is in the far background, but I found myself as much indulged into the musical atmosphere as into the plot itself. says something about the quality of the music

  • gracias

  • My life now has its personal theme song :P composed out of songs from the Amelie soundtrack album. Its amazing how diverse a palette of emotions it causes upon listening, and how very french, and yet not at all cliche all the compositions are

  • If I will ever (and I am sure I will) visit France, especially Paris I will put every piece of music on an I-Pod and listen to it while I walk down the streets...

Each composition for the movie has a sad touch to it and at the same time it somehow lifts you higher if you listen to it. Kinda amazing

  • you'RE. nuff said

  • why do you say that?

  • I agree with you completely! It makes me feel nostalgic, melancolic, but I can't stop listening to these soundtracks because of how beautiful they are.. that's what real art is all about: to be able to combine all kinds of emotions and feelings all together and make something as lovely as this... You are right, and I loved the movie, Amelie... The music really touched me.. Greetings from Argentina... and sorry for my bad english :)

  • its the only stuff that I can listen to when Im doing my homework late in the night :P

the rest is too distracting, even stuff like samuel barbers adagio for strings... This is just so harmonious

  • paris is not always what films show... i strongly recommend u to visit montmartre- pigalle- blanche instead of tour eiffel...

  • agreed with diblas...you would need to spend all the day only to try to get to the top of Eifel tower...millions of ppl try to get there every day

  • i regret i went in tour eiffel...you have right monmarte worth much more...I love paris and france

    me agaph apo ellada

  • i strongly recommend u to visit ST.Dennis. there u can see that paris aint what films show!

    the ghetto!

  • all the big cities have ghettos, but that doesn't mean they are not great, i wouldn't recommend a tourist to go watch the ghettos of paris if he/she only has 3-4 days to visit the city, but u are right, paris is not always as beautiful as we think

  • youre right. as a tourist i wouldnt visit the ghetto.

but what i meant was, that a lot of people close theire eyes to the reality, you know.

they dont want to see the bad side.

  • agree :) there's always a bad side, just visit banlieu nord 92 u'll know how immigration suffers from misunderstoodness

  • 'misunderstanding'

  • sorry i mix languages :S

  • Dont apologise.

If you say something the way you do, then do it.

If people will be ignorant to other people then theyre the ones who need to apologise.

  • 'misunderstoodness'

worst grammar i've ever witnessed. no offense just sayin'.

  • i'd like to see how u manage with french spanish and italian ;)

  • i'm fluent in all three so don't even mess.

  • anda pues que casualidad xk yo soi hispano italiano qui etudie du français depuis que j'ai 3 ans. and i'd like to speak with you about it if u dare mr. fluent, but in private message please, this video deserves intellingent comments ;)

  • xDDD

  • q ro0io esta super la musica :P

  • amazing!!!!! fetch!!! how I love this song...

  • the music is the best of this movie.
