Probably an Eclipse record. I remember a female singer singing this, music hall style, but rather slower, whether on an old 78 or on tv I can't remember. The piano music I have for the song gives a male/ female duet for the chorus.
i had a much earlier version of this when i was a child (cant remember the label but it was one of those "mini" 78s. The reverse side was "Little Dolly Daydream"

I looked this up as I thought it was the Hylton version which was recorded at the Kensington Cinema in August 1927.

Thats the wonder of 'Magic Notes - New Process'!!It has a nice Edwardian Drawing Room ballad style about it
