tejas doesn't fit the category of fighter at the moment,its a light weight trainer not a fighter,the specs of JF-17 you are telling are of the prototype and the Wikipedia info that you are using is not up-to-date,empty weight is 6400 kg,normal take-off is 9100kg.

@harshkalra90 remember DF21's CEP is 30-40 meters. Since China has mastered the technology, and DF31 developed after DF21, it is fairly understood that DF31's CEP should be similiar or better than DF21. However in the war time, these missiles will be armed with nuclear warheads, the CEP doesn't really matter. No doubt India can make nuclear weapons, but the ability to put weapons on missiles is another story. Also China has its own GPS system Beidou, it doesn't relay on the US's.
@cntriones And as I said CEP of a lower range missile can not be incorporated into a longer range missile, because a longer range missile is built for a different purpose and would be used for target out of range of lower range missiles rather than using a longer range missile to attack, shorter ranges. Well as far as GPS systems goes, India will have many operational GPS systems by 2014, and we dont rely on US's GPS system when it comes to military use, more on the lines of Russia.

@cntriones DF-21's range is less that Agni-2s, under whose range many Chinese cities also come, and the CEP generally is lower for missiles that have lesser range. And increases with range. Thus DF-21 range is less than half of Agni-3 but CEP is similar. How difficult is it for u to understand that Agni-3 is the most accurate in its CLASS. And Agni-2s CEP is lower than that of Agni-3. And btw Agni-3 can be launched from truck mounted canister, from rail, and ground base launch platform.

The only thing operational in terms of ABM systems go is "Surface-to-air missiles that have some terminal ABM capability (as opposed to midcourse capability)". Not the kind of system India has. These are just small endoatmospheric SAM system, tat can be used against BM. So since 79 u guys came up with these.

Both aircraft are from 2 different classes and can’t be compared.In case of war JF-17 has to face SU30, MIRAGE 2000 and MIG29 where as LCA will never be used in war as it is not made for it.

As of right now Tejas is inferior to JF-17.The underbelly weight of Tejas limits its speed and ordnance carrying capacity.Small nose intakes limit its high speed manoeuvrability.JF 17 has a higher air to ground capability.Above all JF-17 is fully operational fighter where as LCA is still underdevelopment and failed in many essential tests.LCA has inducted for face saving of india but IAF has admitted that it could be a good trainer but not a good fighter one due to its v.limited capabilities.

Since China has mastered the technology, and DF31 developed after DF21, it is fairly understood that DF31's CEP should be similiar or better than DF21. However in the war time, these missiles will be armed with nuclear warheads, the CEP doesn't really matter. No doubt India can make nuclear weapons, but the ability to put weapons on missiles is another story. Also China has its own GPS system Beidou, it doesn't relay on the US's.

@cntriones And as I said CEP of a lower range missile can not be incorporated into a longer range missile, because a longer range missile is built for a different purpose and would be used for target out of range of lower range missiles rather than using a longer range missile to attack, shorter ranges. Well as far as GPS systems goes, India will have many operational GPS systems by 2014, and we dont rely on US's GPS system when it comes to military use, more on the lines of Russia.

@cntriones DF-21's range is less that Agni-2s, under whose range many Chinese cities also come, and the CEP generally is lower for missiles that have lesser range. And increases with range. Thus DF-21 range is less than half of Agni-3 but CEP is similar. How difficult is it for u to understand that Agni-3 is the most accurate in its CLASS. And Agni-2s CEP is lower than that of Agni-3. And btw Agni-3 can be launched from truck mounted canister, from rail, and ground base launch platform.

The only thing operational in terms of ABM systems go is "Surface-to-air missiles that have some terminal ABM capability (as opposed to midcourse capability)". Not the kind of system India has. These are just small endoatmospheric SAM system, tat can be used against BM. So since 79 u guys came up with these.

Both aircraft are from 2 different classes and can’t be compared.In case of war JF-17 has to face SU30, MIRAGE 2000 and MIG29 where as LCA will never be used in war as it is not made for it.
