what people fail to recognize is that this gun is the best smg for dual wield. the ADD reload has to be under a second giving a huge advantage in CQC and making Sleight of Hand's "faster ADS and reload" useless, leaving room for Steady Aim.

even if treyarch did make lots of smgs and ar's similar iw is guilty of this too. the l86 lsw, mg4, and m240 are all practically the same gun. rpd and aug are also extremely similar. the p90 and mini uzi are very similar. the famas and m16 had very little differences. m4a1 and acr are also nearly the same. point is they both made guns very similar to other guns

love your stuff amish, been here since the start, gotta say though i feel this review was a bit off.. i just started using this gun and the recoil seems pretty manageable even with rapid fire. with rapid fire i can drop people before they know what hit them. sometimes even before they can panic knife me which many times is the difference from life or death in only too many fights. if you play aggressive or objective aggressive it can be a very good gun.

bro you forgot to mention that Kiparis has probably one of the best reload cancels in the whole game. The mag becomes full even before it is dropped from the gun, and it's really easy to exploit it on this gun.

This is why everyone uses the Assualt Rifles. They keep making 1 dominate SMG which makes the other SMG's seem inferior in comparison. Please fix this in MW3.

I'm using Xim3 and dealing with the kick is nothing. Using this with Rapid Fire, Scavenger and Slight of hand. Immediate improvement in KD ratio on smaller maps (Or maps that have close quarters routes to avoid long range fire.) I'm usually busy covering my longer ranged teammates with this gun.

The ACOG actually reduces the Centerspeed to 1300 (from 1400), making it one of the smallest hits to centerspeed from an ACOG on any weapon (source: DenKirson).

I still wouldn't use it, but if you really want to use an ACOG on an SMG for some reason, "it's worth a look".

@cod4me77 The MP5 and M16 are good weapons because of their high power. It is possible for people to beat the FAMAS because the gun doesn't make you invincible. If you looked at the damage, RoF, Recoil and Centerspeed, as well as the range, it should be obvious that it is OP. The FAMAS is a Commando with more predictable recoil, less recoil too, higher RoF, same shots to kill, and the same range.

BTW, there is ALWAYS a reason that a weapon is used by MLG or overused, it is always OP.

It is like ghost, it was just another thing to blame why you died. It makes no sense to complain about a gun when you can easily counter it.

@ramza89SH famas would still out class it, more damage at long range, kipiris recoil is unmanagable with rapid fire, even with the grip, and without extended mags you NEED scavenger, meaning you can use flak jacket or ghost, for your set up you wouldnt have soh, and with 20 rounds and rapid fire you need it, this gun is a pm63 that aims slower, its only advantage is better bullet penitration, it suck to be a classified gun.

@115zombies935 40-20 damage at 1250RPM > 40-20 damage at 1000RPM, and don't forget you can Warlord a grip to make the recoil managable. The reload time is very fast, so no need for SoH, and low clip size isn't a downside, it just means you can't spray and pray.

@ramza89SH You shouldn't be using a SMG at long range, so that doesn't matter. Warlord is the most useful 2nd perk. Grip + Extended mags = destruction at close to mid range. At close range, it destroys even the unnerfed Famas. As far as a comparison to the other SMGs? Eh. PM63 isn't as accurate. But whatever. I've had more success with the Kiparis than any other SMG other than the Spectre. It virtually has no recoil.

Lethal Grenades... I will be HIGHLY disappointed if you don't add a certain faimly guy clip we discussed before... Also, I have a question about the recoil profiles. In your videos, you have said many times that if the recoil profile is symmetric then it will recoil straight up. I have heard multiple people say that it will be more random and will move to the left, right or up. They say the FAMAS is better for recoil since it is very predicatble recoiling up and to the right. What do you think?

@deprece2301 Rule out the weapons with low center speed (Uzi, kiparis, etc). Take the AUG for example. I think it's superior to the FAMAS. The recoil is symmetric on the AUG, but the FAMAS has the higher center speed. The AUG may skip around a bit more, but the net movement is up. I think it's easier to maintain since at most you may have to press slightly forward on the analog stick. Essentially, a symmetric profile cancels out the randomness.

@xxRagingAmishxx The AUG has unpredictable recoil. In theory, yes, the recoil will be lower than the FAMAS, but when it comes down to it, a slight pull down and to the left will cause the FAMAS to have superior recoil to the AUG. The same goes with the Galil and the Commando.

It looks like Treyarch originally had "Stopping Power" in the game when balancing out all the weapons but removed it at the last minute, never bothering to rebalance the weapons. It might explain why there are now meaningless differences in damage, such as 40 and 35. Those are both 3 hit kills w/out stopping powers 1.4 multiplier. Lazy and stupid regardless.

Hey Amish, always happy to see you in my sub box :) I have actually been using the Kiparis a LOT lately. I have also tried all the attachments. I generally Extended Mags. Scavenger, SoH, and Marathon/Hacker. I haven't used Grip THAT much but honestly i don't mine the lag. And the reason i use extended mag is not due to constant reloading, more about having opportunity to out more then 1 person at a time. I'll try Grip w/ EM today but honestly I've been liking extended mags only.
