i think ,the information camed from Sweden or Switzerland.anyway...this is truely the biggest disaster of mankind but today it`s not so dangerouos as it was in 1986.when winter comes the snow covers the radioactive dust and it isn`t deadly...
You know the Finnish government was so scared of Russia in those days that the government didn't warn anyone when the cloud came... and kids played outside. The news came from neighbouring countries.
i swear if ihad the chance i would sneak in to the restricted and more rediated areas and swipe some of the sweet pictures and toys and other things still there. but i dont have the balls to go the reactor directly withouit a hazmat suit . but if i can buy a hazmat suit for even $ 1000 and sneak in to the restricted areas i would do it.
@thed1776 I hope you wouldn't plan to do anything with what you find there because everything you find there will be highly contaminated. You would never make it through customs. Airports have had radiation scanners since the 70's. Stop comparing this to video games. What you propose is nothing short of grave robbing.
@Daddyo930 i know it would contaminated but since its a picture and i have open spots on my walls 1 story up from where i sit (high ceiling) i wouldnt worry to much about placing a few pictures in there and as far as small decoration toys they could be placed in a game room away from the pinball machines and such wouldnt pose to great a threat in my opinion as i wouldnt be directly by them for any extended period of time and i assume youve assumed im american and would need to fly out of ukraine
@Daddyo930 but i do see the grave robbing part as being semi bad. the way i see it is somewhat a preservation of history rather than let those items of the past corrode and decay from the harsh weather. it wouldmake me happy if a russina or ukraine goverment agency went there and retreived all valuble material to be put somewhere where they can be seen. (after many years of course so that no citizen would sue for radiation sickness)
It was reckless and russian pride that caused the accident not the operators who were following orders at the time nobody at the plant wanted to lose their Job so they did not complain in the uk or us this would never happen
most of the men who went in either to save victims/clean nuclear fallout actually volunteered... the government told them either they serve in the army for multiple years or they go into chernobyl for only 30 minutes. a lot chose the thirty minutes but unfortunately by the end of the thirty minutes most had been poisoned and most ended up dying
Ok wait, I realize that sounded extremely sarcastic, but I honestly want to take a tour of it, they have tours, and you can actually walk through some of the less radiated areas, like a school and some apartments... One of my favorite things to do is explore abandoned buildings and stuff like that, so honestly, I wanna go there!
@hoovdizzle you wouldn't want to, since to 2010, the nuclear had spreading to the trees, soil, the water and the ash-fall, for basic's, the nuclear is everywhere
@hoovdizzle I honestly don't see the thrill of walking into people's graves. Personally, I'd refuse. Nothing against your choice, yet I don't understand how it's "awesome".
@hoovdizzle Grow up kid. This not a laughing matter. If you were born after 1986, you have pieces of Chernobyl in you. Do not make fun of the dead. I did not see anything "AWESOME" in the video. I say horror piled upon horror. I saw how the world died a little more in 1986. Keep those kind of comments to yourself please.

How fucking disrespectful perla51!! those firemen tried to save the lives of those under the rubble by giving their own, RIP to those and the helicopter pilots.

Es una vergüenza que se oculte esta catastrofe. La radiación nos la tragamos todos y el tema se acalló porque da mucho dinero!
