  • Greetings

    Kind Sir...

The song may have been written about the Dust Bowl, but errily and uncannily, seems very relevant and applicable to todays migrant workers. It also speaks of the human condition, therefore, universal in message. No politics here, just ethics...about hard-working folks trying to earn a fair and honest living in order to pay the rent and feed their families.

You,kind sir, have done Woody's song great justice with your soulful, sincere interpretation..

    Peace,

    Stewball

  • Thank you sir. Not enough changes as long as we have a class at the top of the heap that spends every waking moment scheming to enslave others with their money....

  • You sure know Woody's songbook well! I can't say I knew this one. It's a shame he lost all his marbles and died. I like his songs more than I do Bob Dylan's. I am always impressed by how cool, calm and collected you seem to be. You are a real professional!

  • Thanks a lot Steven,

I just do the best I can with my limited skills and hope that someone might get it....

Regardless, great stuff Archie, Thank you!

What is the song that Woody wrote after watching the Grapes of Wrath?

  • Thanks Jack,

The song you're thinking of is called "Tom Joad." It was so long, he had to record it in two parts...
