In my opinion Friday the 13th Part 2 is the most underrated movie in the whole series. It's not only one of the scariest of the series it also contains 2 of the most famous scenes of the series. The shot of the guy in the wheelchair coming down the stairs and the double impalement of the couple in bed.
@stuarachel Soooo true they actually released Hellraiser in the theaters for one weekend. Too bad I was broke though Hahaha. It's alright because I own all the movies.
For some time this reminds me of Black Pete chasing Mickey mouse around a small table with a knife and when the song is ending Black Pete catches Mickey and kills him :P Anyone else?
Jason is powered by rage, hate and jealously.Nothing more.BTW this is my ringtone, its so awesome when it goes off,i know people are like "OMG IM GOING TO BEEEEEEEEEEEE KILLED" hehe.
Fans who seen the early Friday flims on numerous occassions should know that Parts 2, 3, and 4 is actually a trilogy that begins and takes place a span of a week's time nearly 5 years after Alice's death from Jason.
Ahh slasher films in the 80's a time when horror films were actually good. I wish they would be shown in the cinema 1 more time. I wanna see 1 good horror film on the big screen.
I actually live in Sussex county in New Jersey. This is the same county in which the original Friday the 13th was filmed, and I am about 10 minutes from Blairstown, the town in which it was filmed. Remember in the beginning where Annie was walking down the street, and she asked for directions? Well, one of those buildings is a theatre now, and last Halloween they had a viewing of the original Friday the 13th there. It sold out very quickly.
And if you look carefully at the cemetary in the background of where the trucker drops her off, you see that the sign ends in "NJ", indicating that the setting is New Jersey.
@alucard624 I don't believe so. But it looks almost identical to how it looked back in 1986. It's one of those small towns that just doesn't change ever. Which I like!
@stuarachel I wish they would re-release the first four parts and make parts 2 and 3 in REAL D!! I always thought part 2 could work well in 3D as well.
he drowned at camp crystal lake at 10 or 11 he was deformed since birth. he returned at the end of part 1 n started killin cuz he saw his mom killed tha nite b4 he came back 2 life. he grew to be a man but a more disfigured man cuz of his injuries being in the woods n eating animals n other things. part 4 he was killed n part 6 he was ressurected by lightening. he couldn't die after that. just momentarily.
Technically, he was a zombie from the start, if you subscribe to the idea that he did drown in the lake but it resurrected him and gave him at least some of his powers.
@jobe1212 Jason was a human he never really did drown because his body wasn't found in the lake . He lived in the woods . He only started decaying once the movie industry decide to bring him back from the dead after part 3.
A truer definition of "zombie" does not require an already decomposing body, so if you believe that he actually did drown but was resurrected and empowered by some supernatural power in Crystal Lake, then you can consider him a super-zombie from the start. In the 2009 film, note that he already has all his powers even though he has not been literally resurrected from the grave. In Jason X, furthermore, he looks less decomposed but is still said to possess regeneration powers.
Being resurrected by supernatural forces does not make him a zombie no more than it makes a vampire a zombie. Jason was brought back from Crystal Lake by his mother who secretly practiced witchcraft. Uber Jason and zombie Jason suck because he became more comical than sinister.
wait so if he is only a zombie in part 6 then in freddy vs Jason what is he? He couldn't be resurected by freddy cause he just doesn't have such powers
i know but um zombies go down with one hit the head but Jason seems to be indestructible so i think he is more of a berserker zombie than most of them he actually thinks before killing people
If you're familiar with the series at all you would know that Jason is not your regular type of zombie. He's invulnerable and supernarual. And also, Friday the 13th is not a zombie movie..
Have you seen the series? He had human skins, made human sound and ran like a human. He didn't officially die until Part 4 when Tommy drives a machete to his head.
I have the series my friend but technically all I am saying is when the dead begins to walk they are considered a zombie and Jason died at age 11 year 1957 and returned in 1981 but I do see your point
No. He never died at 11 in the lake, he survived and returned as an adult. If he did indeed die and came back to life he'd still be a kid (zombies don't age). He's not officially a zombie until Part 6 when lightning resurrected him.
brillant movie. the part where jason runs in front of the police car somes up everything the movie is about. let u all come to your own conclusions on that one part. but its cool! pure retor horror movie classic, early eighties!
