I am a die hard Texas fan so I have to go with the big 12. But after this season I have to agree, SEC doesn't cheat teams out of what they deserve. I give it to Florida because they beat Oklahomo, but Texas beat them first.
Well this video loses all credibility now that Texas will be rated higher than OU due to Texas beating OSU (barely) and OU losing to Florida. Well this video loses all credibility now that Texas will be rated higher than OU due to Texas beating OSU (barely) and OU losing to Florida. I really wish there was a playoff as this whole dispute would have never happened. Even though I hate the dispute and the BCS in general, Texas should have went. If every week is a playoff, then how come Texas beat OU but didnt progress to the next level as a traditional playoff would? The BCS is faux; and OU was overrated and was exposed on Jan. 8, 2009.

lol idiots. On a serious note. Have you all considered the NFL's regular season "lack of hype". If we go to a play off system, it will hurt college football. The bcs system is great for all the hype. It has every Texas fan in a uproar TALKING ABOUT COLLEGE FOOTBALL. Either way it seems to be tough. We all agreed on a system. I'd consider it a lot like the "neutral field" we play on. It's in Texas not Oklahoma.

Florida is a great team and I thought that maybe Bama was over rated as well. However Florida did lose to an unranked team, BUT that doesn't mean shit because OU lost to a ranked team. If anything UT should be pissed about not going to the nation championship over Florida because they (UT) lost to a ranked team as well.
Running up the score? What were we supposed to do? Stop playing? Most of our points are from the first half and our second string was put in very early in each of our games.

When you're up 54-41 against OSU and there are only seconds left in the game, the sportsman-like thing to do is go to victory formation and kneel down until the game is over. To run in one more touchdown when you know you're going to win was classless. But we're talking about OU and Stoops, so no surprise.

hey, mack tried not to run up the score in that colorado game, but the buffs wouldn't let him. after mack sent in the 4th stringers and they scored, he put pads on the waterboy. next play, the waterboy scored a touchdown.
also, if your team beat texas, you'd actually deserve to go to the championship - you didn't and don't.

Colorado in 2005? O' ya I remember that game, I was there! The score did go way up on that one, but with all due respect it was the second string and in some cases 3rd playing in the fourth quarter. Its not like we left all our starters in there to just beat the shit out of them. :)

Normally I go for anyone in the Big XII when we're not playing them, and I really don't like Ohio State either. But Texas REALLY lost my respect with the whole airplanes thing. There were three planes total from Texas fans.

Its a sad time in college football, when running up the score on losing teams is considered honorable and rewarded to boot. Its discouraging to know that 2 teams can meet on neutral ground with on winner.The season is tied and the loser goes to the National Championship. More so its ugly what has happened in Austin since. As a Texas Ex myself, I think the whole thing is incredible! I think that the Longhorns are good people and that the ugliness demonstrated by our rivals is disgusting.

I don't think Texas is a bad team. I do think that OU is better. But any smart and logic sports fan knows how a team works. They can either get better or not improve at all. Right now the best, most talented team in the Big XII is OU. I think UT got a bit better after playing OU but stayed somewhat stagnant. That's where the stats in computers decide.

Well I know that I am going to enjoy my trip to Kansas City tomorrow. I'm ready to cheer my team on for a 3rd straight Big XII Title. I'm going to have an awesome time in Miami while we represent the Big XII against the SEC. The only thing that sucks, we can't play Texas again because we ALL agree that the BCS sucks and a playoff game would be right. OU would be the HELL out of Texas right now since we have progressed. Now all UT can do is piss and moan and talk smack behind a technicality.

I had thought about the taking the North vs South out because I think only three other conferences do something like that but I think the conference (Big 12 for instance) does so that more of their teams have an advantage when comes to recruitment and whatnot and it makes the conference stronger. That and someone had explained to me that they do that for an extra game in the conference to begin with. *shrug*
