I have the Japanese version Rock Man 8 and it has better music that was changed in the U.S. U.K. versions and Dr. Light does not sound like Elmer Fudd in the Japanese Dub. The best version of MM8 was for Sega Saturn that had more bosses,extra stuff and more character animation. But people can play the PS1 port of MM8 on Mega Man Anniversary Collection on Gamecube and on PS3 PSN download on Playstation Classics to play on PSP.

Reasons why the PS1 version is better than the Anniversary Collection version:

The robot master voices aren't screwed up.

Controls can be changed to the much more convenient mega buster with square and special weapons with triangle.

Lastly, no autosave.

Dude, none of the voice actors in the English version are Japanese! What the hell even made you think something like that!!!??? The reason the English voice acting sucks so bad is that Capcom of America, in all of their stupidity, decided to hire a bunch of retards who can't voice act for shit. The result is a Dr. Light who sounds like Elmer Fudd, a very girly Mega Man, a Roll who sounds more like a boy than Mega Man, and a crapload of other shitty voices.

If you beat hawkman and get tornado hold, you can use that to tangle up clownman when he is swing in the air which gets really annoying. IF you get his thunder hand thing you can use it to deflect bombman's bomb which is really good. When you get his bombs it is easier to beat frost man who is hard but he's nowhere near as hard as astro man which is not only one of the hardest bosses in the game but the maze part and the appearing and disappearing footholds are annoying too. look at the sun. ^_^
