@almzap Basically, you do a picn scrape (scraping the side of your pick down the strings) while hammering on various notes with your fretting hand. It's looks like a flurry of chromatic notes to me. Just keep practicing! :)

Well the pick ups sense vibration so if you yell loud enough into them with enough gain you can hear your voice.  They can pick up weird noises from cell phones and stuff too.

If it can pick up when you yell in your guitar it would probably pick up ambient sounds like feedback, bumping your strings, and other crap you don't want. You can't scream into pickups. Well you can, but it makes absolutely no sound. Pickups work by the strings "cutting" magnetic field lines and creating a current, your voice can't do that, not even Claudio's.

No, I mean you missed out on some of the best prog metal bands of today. Intronaut, Gojira, The Number 12 Looks Like You, the Dillinger Escape Plan, Opeth, Meshuggah, and Psyopus are some of the best bands, both in prog metal and metal as a whole out there. Though I would agree, Coheed and Mastodon are the future of their generation's music scene.
