  • man of one voice

  • Awesome! The first :19 this guy looks like Peter Criss (former KISS drummer!) :)

  • @MetalElf Thanks, Elf. This is not one of my better posts but glad you enjoyed it.

  • how about joey ramone eh?

  • @BrickUnit Yeah, I'll add the Ramones to my request list, thanks.

  • Your Kurt Cobain one was actually really good!

  • Thanks, Amy. I'd have to agree that the Nirvana section was probably the best of this bunch, despite it being one of my weaker posts. Always was a fan of theirs so I'll probably do another Cobain cover when time allows. I appreciate your comment and hope you'll check out more of my other voices sometime. Thanks again!

  • Kurt Cobain is the lead singer of Nirvana. Why dont you try to impersinate Chester Benighton from Linkin Park. Great Job

  • Thanks. I'll add Chester to my list and give Linkin Park a shot in a future upload.

  • Okay. When you do. Let me know.

  • Really great. You sure can sing for sure... great Bowie!!! Can you pls give John Hiatt a try? You would be great I am sure. Where are you based? All the best!

  • Hey Blues,

Really glad you like the Bowie. I'm in the midst of a Bowie medley (by request) which I hope you'll check out and leave feedback on. I'll add Hiatt to my request list (always liked his stuff) but it may take a while to get to so please don't feel ignored because of that. I've recently moved back to the Boston area, to answer your other question. It's great that youtube allows me to reach a much broader audience and get feedback from around the globe. Thanks again!

  • I enjoyed your Tom Petty.

And also the Nirvarna dude who's name I ferget. Beavis would remember the Nirvarna dudes name instantly.

I can hear in my mind's ear, you doing heart and soul -- Huey Lewis

    Good stuff guy. Good luck.

  • You mean Kurt Cobain?

  • YEAH YEAH, THAT ONE.... Kurt KoKaine.

Stuck a rifle in his mouth,

    BANG,

Paco--Mop Yob needed in booth #3, very sad...

Butthead from Beavis-n-Butthead refers to him as Nirvarna.

  • shotgun

  • Thanks Joe! Got lots of requests still to get to but I'll definitely give Huey a shot when I can find the time. I appreciate your comments and am happy you enjoyed this upload. Stew

PS- Beavis would tell you that it's Kurt Cobain. Then he'd probably laugh that goofy laugh of his, which would make Butthead start giggling... ;)

  • Channeling Dylan? Dude! I loved it. You've got rockin' game.

  • Good stuff, Stew!! 5*'s +

  • Thanks, I enjoyed your Sinatra impersonation too! I posted a song parody based on one of his old classics here last year that you might enjoy. Noticed your also from MA. I hope to catch your act someday. Best of luck with that. Stew

  • hey Stew,,,i really belive you can sing lovers in the wind by Roger Hodgson of cheaptrick and also i want to request boat in the river by Styx ,,,,2 of my favorite songs ,,and by the way great job on Jim Morrison ,,you sound really like him ....!

  • Thanks, Fuzzy! Jim's one of my favorite singers to cover so I'm glad you thought my vocals were up to snuff. I'll also add your requests to the list although it might take a while to get to them since I'm a bit backlogged. Great suggestions though. Hope I can live up to your expectations when I give them a shot. Thanks again for the input and the nice words! Stew

  • i love the bowie impressions you good!

  • Thanks, Jonesy! Bowie's always been a favorite performer of mine. Eventually, I'm going to post an entire medley of his stuff. Hope you'll stay tuned and let me know what you think. I appreciate your comments! Stew

  • Sweet!

  • Thanks for the short but sweet comment! Not my best upload but happy you liked it.

    Stew

  • any versions of Brian Adams songs?

  • Not yet but he's on my list of artists to get to. Not a easy voice to copy but definitely worthy of an attempt. I'll do my best to include him in a future upload. Thanks! Stew

  • Excellent work! They weren't exact, but even without being perfect copies, they'd make great covers.

I'd really like to see you do Dennis DeYoung (lead singer of Styx)

It's also nice to see someone who keeps up with their comments on videos. :D

Keep rocking, man. Dig the hairdo.

  • Good day, sunshine. I appreciate the nce comments. This wasn't one of my better uploads but still glad you liked it. As Sinatra once said- "the best is yet to come"- or so I hope. I've got other posts here that you may want to check out. Also got a long list of new artists to get to. DeYoung has a great voice and isn't easy to copy but I may give it a shot in a future medley. As for the hairdo, I've been cutting my own since 5th grade. Guess it shows lol. Maybe it's time for a stylist. ;) Stew

  • Good stuff.

  • Thanks, Tex. Not my best upload but I'm glad you enjoyed it. Please feel free to check out my other stuff here and let me know what you think. Stew

  • Your Bill Withers were better than the original :P

  • Wow, fish, very kind of you to say that! Not sure I'm worthy of such a comment... I've always loved Bill Withers voice so if I even came close to sounding like him, then I'm happy. Thanks for listening! Stew

  • Do you have a regular show somewhere?

  • Not at the moment. I do play some select spots on occasion and am working towards getting an agent in the hopes of being a regular at an east coast casino like Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun. I'd love to incorporate costumes and make-up/hair into the act to add to the overall impersonation. Right now, what you're seeing here is just me practicing-using the youtube forum for feedback and trying to decide whether to forge ahead or hang it up. Thanks for listening! Stew

  • Dude..keep it going...I play the giter too and I'd love to do what you do...I'm always doing immatations in my basement to the wall..rock on...

  • Thanks for the encoragement, bro. My parents used to think I was crazy when they'd find me alone in my room singing with my face planted six inches from the stereo speaker. lol. Maybe someday it will pay off big like a Vegas slot machine. Keep on singing, even if no one is watching. Stew

  • Bravo, well done!

  • My pleasure, web. I hope you'll check out some of my other posts since you seemed to like this one. Thanks for the endorsement!

    Stew

  • i think your best impersanation is Tom Petty

  • Thanks! Probably is on this particular installment but I'm not sure if it's my best one overall. Feel free to check out my other stuff on youtube and leave more comments (just search under 'the man of 1000 voices')/ Til then, have a wonderful holiday and a fun New Year! Stew

  • Am I missing something here?

  • I'm not sure. Have you tried the 'lost and found'? (lame joke) But seriously, tin, you might want to check out some of my other posts, too. Some are a bit comical but this one wasn't done with that intention. Search under 'the man of 1000 voices' if you feel the urge. Thanks. Stew

  • funny as hell

  • Thanks, I think... This post isn't supposed to be about comedy as it is about sounding like certain well known rock/pop artists. But, then again, if you enjoyed it, who I am to argue? Stew

  • hey Stew, you obviously have a good voice, I just need some irony in my impersonations. The Cobain is pretty good, maybe some more heroin in there, some more Dylan in the Tom Petty, lower your pitch and block your nose for that one!

  • I hear ya, tin. I'm going to add Dylan soon-- who Petty does often sound like. He also sounds like Roger McGuinn of the Byrds at times, too. Also going to do a Petty medley soon so check back sometime for that. I love Cobain but think I'll pass on the heroin, thanks. As for the comedy, I'm working on a few more parodies that may give you a laugh. ;) Stew

  • your Cobain is not that bad but theres only one Cobain! hard to match that voice.

  • Yea, I'd have to agree with you there, Joe. Still, I might take another shot at him on a future upload. No pun intended. ;) Stew

  • Well done, very entertaining. When is the world tour??!!!lol

  • Thanks, bull. I do play live gigs when I can but the world tour has yet to be announced. lol Right now, I'm working on a "hstory of rock" upload that covers most every great artist from the 50s to present. Been too busy lately to finish it but hope you'll check back. Stew

  • MY mom just told me about you, I am in GC too :)

She got a kick out of this, she said you were really good.

  • Yea, but what did you think? ;)

So, thanks for checking out the video and tell your mom I said "hi"/whoever she may be.

GC is a wonderful place to grow up in.

    Enjoy it! Stew

  • not too bad though...... so does danny gans

  • Yea, the difference is that Danny makes about 10 million a year. I'd settle for half that.

Anyway, thanks for checking me out. I'm just getting started.

  • KEEP IT UP - YOU'RE ON TO SOMETHIN

  • you sound like a guy trying to sound like .......

  • That's the whole idea.... ;)

  • Hi Danny. My name is David Todd Singleton and I am moving to Las Vegas soon. But, first I would like to have an entertainment contact which I don't. I would like to 'head' some big show. go to myspace and tell me what you think. thanks. best wishes - david.

  • you need to do a longer one of Bono..your Tom Petty was really good!

  • Thanks for the comment, knarisa. I think you're right. I love U2 and intend on doing something more by them/Bono real soon. The intro was just an idea and doesn't really do justice to their absolutely top notch catalog of songs. Glad you enjoyed the Petty. I'm thinking of posting some '3fers' by the big artists like Tom and U2, since one small song bite doesn't do them justice. I hope you'll check back sometime and let me know how I'm doing. ;)

  • Is there anyone you can't sound like? bloody fooking amazing dude.

  • Hey Brucester, Thanks for all the wonderful comments!

In the words, of Garth: "I'm not worthy!". Stay tuned for more artists, including some great 80s bands like the Cure and the Psychedelic Furs.

  • Nirvana was insanely good, others where meh, you should make a nirvana tribute band or something, would make more money.

  • Glad you liked the Cobain. A Nirvana tribute band sounds like great fun but there are so many artists I love covering that I'm hard pressed to commit to just one band. All apologies. ;) Still, I hope you'll check back to see who's next on my list. Thanks for listening!

  • WOW YOU REALLY ROCK!

    haha jp

    you dont

  • Thanks jdog! (But who's jp ?)

  • Nirvana--fantastic! Tom's very accurate also. You are very talented.

  • Hello again. Nice to see you back. I'll have to work on Styx since it's been a while but I'll definitely get some America posted real soon. Only so many hours in the day and yet so many great artists to cover! lol. As always, thanks for your comments and for listening.

    Stew

  • Is there anyone you can't sound like? You really should be famous! Can you do anymore Beatles or something by Stevie Wonder? Thank you.

  • I don't do a very good Jon Anderson, even though YES is one of my favorite bands. I'll be glad to post more Beatles soon but to paraphrase Garth--"I'm not worthy". Stevie is another musical genius who I intend to include in an upcoming post. Thank you for the compliments! Stew

  • Nice man...I like the Nirvana one. You think you could do some Styx and America?

  • wow u r fabulous!!! I'd really like to hear Johnny Cash, or Anthony Kiedis. (also, Eric Clapton, SRV were good ideas!) lol, u do great work! P.S. Gnarles Barkley? ;p
